Color temperature when initially turned on is yellowish
Advertised on Amazon as instant on "Bright from the start" and 6500 K color temperature. GE Packaging also says that. But when I installed it, it was clearly a yellowish color, not a clear daylight color as I wanted. This was extremely obvious since existing adjacent CFL lights in the same bathroom fixture were much, much whiter - although they were only rated at 5000 K color temperature. - However after a couple of minutes, it suddenly brightens and the color temperature changes to the advertised color temperature. Since I was going to use it in a bathroom fixture, that delay was not acceptable. Instant on & "bright from the start" was the selling point when I bought it. - I can use it elsewhere in the house, therefore I will keep it.
