Dimensions Rooster on Black Crewel Embroidery Kit, 11'' W x 14'' H

It took me 8 months to finish this. I love that these kits have everything you need to complete it (I have two littles). I had plenty of string for what I needed.The fabric is a little stiff but I rinsed it with water and let it dry and it softened up. I also put a little glue around the edges to prevent fraying. When I finished I ironed it and got the wrinkles out from using an embroidery hoop throughout.The pattern comes in two pages which is a little annoying when you’re working on the middle because you have to keep re-lining it up and making sure you’re in the right spot.It’s not super difficult but there is a lot of mixing of colors, half and full stitch so if you’re a beginner, it may be overwhelming to you, but not impossible. I messed up a lot on this one but thankfully the picture lended itself to easy cover-ups.I’ve included a couple pictures of the back of it in the spirit of transparency so you can see how the threads carried.I love how this one turned out and will probably stick to Dimensions kits when I can, though I have not tried other kits to compare them to yet.

I am almost finished with this design and it is going to be beautiful. High quality kit!Be aware that it is a very complicated pattern with cross stitches, half stitches, back stitching and blends.I will definitely feel a great sense of accomplishment when I finish, frame and send this to my friend as a gift!

This is a beautiful pattern, but I wish it were counted instead of stamped on fabric, which I prefer. The ink is dark blue, and I was afraid of the stamped pattern showing underneath the stitches, especially on the white stitching. I got brave, and decided I'd use aida fabric in the same light brown color, and set to work "gridding" the pattern with a pencil so that I could use the pattern on aida cloth.It worked like a charm! The pattern is computer generated, so I just added grid lines, et voila! It worked up beautifully. I stitched it over 14 count (I wanted a slightly smaller piece, and a little more delicate). The only thing I needed to change were the words; using aida necessitated finding an alphabet that would work well, but there are so many that after a few minutes online, I found one (free) that was perfect.The pattern and kit were very nice. Stitching it on aida was a little more work, but the result was so worth it! Wish I could post a picture, but it's for my daughter's wedding in October and I don't want her to see the finished product yet. :)

This was my latest 2020 survival project! It turned out absolutely beautiful. The colors are very vibrant. You will not be disappointed!Tips:While I would not consider this a beginner project, the larger stitch size and kit organization make it pretty easy to do. Just be prepared to spend some time because it is a larger project.The thread comes presorted on cards as shown. I taped the card to the top of a sturdy folder with pockets. The pockets hold the long threads when not in use (a slip knot will prevent tangling) and the charts as well. Also, the taped gap btwn the folder and card make a perfect place to place a threaded needle right next to the matching threads.Use several needles (I preferred sz. 26 for this, except for the parts using 5 or 6 threads), so that you don’t have to rethread every time you change colors. Just poke the threaded needle into the tape at the top until you need it next:-)I chose to frame this without glass to let the textures shine through. Without matting, it will fit a 11 x 14 in. frame.

This was a really great project. The colors are beautiful and it was fairly simple. Would definitely recommend.

This was something that worked up pretty quickly for me. I put this floral piece out in my kitchen. Needlework of any kind is always worth what you have to pay for it, if you ask me. I try to keep the price down, just over the shipping costs.

This project took me a couple of months to finish but it is well worth the time. It matched colors in my daughter's chase so I made a pillow our of it. The way the stitches are on the trees (the half cross stitch) makes it look like bark. Well worth the time and effort. I did run out of several colors (5 actually) but I have floss left from my many projects over the years and was able to match up the colors relatively easy. There was a little variance in color but because of all that is going on in the panel, no one will ever find the switch over. So if you have left over floss on hand you should do well.

I absolutely loved this kit easy to read, great instructions and the colours are gorgeous very happy with how it turned out! Great price Great buy!

Ce produit est selon mes attentes.. car ai eu TRES MAUVAISE expérience avec le produit que j'avais commandé a l'été de 2021 ...le meme dessin a broder mais c'était un produit qui est venu de Chine... le dessin était le meme mais les couleurs n'étaient pas pareilles du tout et de plus le tissu était étampé avec des couleurs si foncées que ca paraissant a travers les fils Ai VRAIMENT REGRETTER MON ACHAT...c'éetait une perte $$ +++ de beaucoup de temps a broder pour jeter au vidange car c'est impossible de donner en cadeau un travail si DÉGUEULLASSE!!! Une chance que tous mes autres achats chez Amazone ont été tres satisfaisants Merci Johanne Metcalfe

This is probably the most difficult cross stitch I have done and I have done many kits over the last 30 years. There are a lot of half stitches and combined colours but this gives a beautiful picture and I am enjoying the way the scene is growing. I would recommend for an experienced stitcher who enjoys a challenge.

Lo compré para un regalo, llegó un día antes de lo previsto, viene con dos agujas una más grande que otra, instrucciones y dibujo indicativo y hilos de lana. Me gustó mucho el patrón pero no es de punto cruz si no bordado con: punto llano, punto de semilla, punto atrás, Margarita y nudo francés. Así que no es exactamente lo que quería, en todos casos lo voy a intentar

Se ve divino. Solo que como soy nueva bordando.. Me costará trabajo. Pero estoy encantada y deseo verlo terminado.
