No. While the tang goes the full length of the handle, it is a “hidden tang”. Meaning that you can’t see the tang, even though it is the full length of the handle. A “full tang” knife you would still be able to see the tang. The handles would be slabs(scales ) that would fit on either side of the tang.

Dose this knife come with diamond stone

Mine came with a stone( looks like the cheap diamond ones not 100% if it’s actually diamond) but it was bent :( others seemed happy with thieves so it could be a one time thing but I would recommend getting a separate stone if you actually want to sharpen anything

is this the 440 steel or the 7Cr17 High Carbon Stainless steel?

It say it is 440 stainless. This is a really nice survival knife holds edge really well.

what is the string for on the sheath?

The string is for fastening the knife/sheath to either the shoulder strap of a rucksack or to the thigh depending upon how you decide to wear the knife.
