Q: Does it include the plug at the end of the wires?

This is a "hard wired" device. The wires come from the device it's being installed into (like a lamp). There should be no plug associated with this socket.

Q: What diameter hole must I drill in order to mount this item into a craft project?

If the spec's. don't give width, you might get very close by laying socket on its side and measuring width. Don't know if they make spade bits wide enough for what you are doing; you may need a hole saw. If anything, under-measure to begin with.

Q: Is this rated for exterior/outside use? I want to install inside a porch light fixture that is protected from rain?

Yes, it's fine. I used it for an exterior post lamp. As long as it's not directly in contact with rain, etc. it's OK.

Don't know exact diameter; in my case, I was replacing the broken porcelain socket with the identical porcelain socket. The threaded light bulb end of the socket fits backwards (i.e., towards your house and/or fixture wiring into the round opening of the sheet metal socket bracket, and the double snap-in clips snap into openings in the socket bracket to secure the socket in place. This was an older, recessed ceiling light installation. Hope this helps.
