Very cool cleaning device for disposal you didn't know you needed!
This little guy works really well getting down in the blade are and the black gasket that meets the sink. Those areas smell if they are not cleaned. The way this is shaped it works well to clean both. Very easy to use and fits well in your hand. It is also very lightweight and cleans the disposal really well. I just wish I had found this sooner. It helps with the smell you get from your disposal and keeps the small flying creatures away since there is nothing on the blades. Good idea and good execution. Works very well!

Very long lasting, does an excellent job. Much more effective than cleaner tabs. Highly recommended.
Purchased in Nov. 2015 (10+ years) and still performing well after what I'd very roughly estimate to be 200+ uses. During this time, the bristles haven't degraded and fallen off as I've experienced with at least a couple other brushes used for other purposes. The bristles are thinner and a bit longer than a lot of other cleaning brushes. The allows for gentle but effective cleaning around and under the blades and the underside of the disposal. I add foaming or liquid dish soap to the brush head before use. Works well. The grip makes it easy to handle and rotate the brush, clean from top to bottom. In addition to spinning the brush, I'd recommend pumping it up and down, working in circles. The head of the brush measures ~3.75" and my drain opening is ~3.125". To enter the garbage disposal, remove the disposal's rubber splash guard, clean it's underside and then push through into the disposal with the brush. Do the work and when pulling it out, use a *gloved* hand to cover around the drain and brush head, very slowly pull it out at an angle, not straight up. Doing so will minimize bristle-fling which results in muck being flung upward and outward. The debris in garbage disposals often contains bacteria and other things that you won't want on clothing, skin and the surrounding area. The bristles rinse clean very quickly and easily. I don't know what the bristles on the shaft are for. They seem to serve no purpose. Maybe it's more cost effective during the manufacturing process to use bristled wire and just leave them on. I guess. Must-have product for garbage disposals. Cleaner tabs from companies like Affresh may occasionally be useful as a final step but not something that should be relied on alone. Bottom line, definitely a 5 star product. Highly recommended.

Every garbage disposal needs this cleaning brush.
I didn’t realize my garbage disposal was so dirty. It is clean now. Easy to use.

Best garage disposal brush… ever
Love it! I have always used a simple brush to clean the inside of my garbage disposal……but this brush is specifically designed for scrubbing without much elbow grease. My garbage disposal is the cleanest it has ever been! I am very germ conscious, so I love it! Easy to use!!

Works great, can't believe I lived without this!
Sometimes even in a new disposal, little pieces of food get stuck in the grinder and end up creating a stink. And I even use those tablets every month to completely deodorize inside. And those work good too - it's the in-between times when you just need to get that one piece of stinky slime out. That's where Mr. Scrappy saves the day! It's really just the simplest and perfectly designed tool to brush out any remaining gunk in the disposal. It's a fat, medium-stiff bristle with with a rounded head, and a handle shaped for twisting. So you stick it down to the bottom and twirl it around the edges of the bottom, twirl it around the sides, then pull it up to under the rim where gunk can hide. I didn't have much in there because it is pretty new, but it got those smelly salad bits! I used a drop of dawn but probably didn't need to, it did clean the brush well afterward though. Worth every penny and inexpensive as well. I can't believe I got this old without Mr. Scrappy! :-P

Does a good job, watch for splashback when you pull out
My daughter had one of these and I asked to borrow it. I don't think my disposal was really smelly or anything, but I liked the idea of being able to clean the underside of those flaps

Life changing. For real. But heed my advice if you have a super stinky sink…
The last two apartments I’ve lived in have been really new (less than 4 years old) and whatever the new garbage disposal flaps are- CLEARLY not designed by a person who’s ever cleaned a sink. The wide accordion type flaps… why God why?!? The last place, it was a nuisance- but I was the first tenant so I was bold about touching the underside of the flap. Current apartment- it’s still pretty new, but someone funky lived here before me. The funk in the washer, the lint in the dishwasher jets (?!?) and then the sink. All the drains had odors but I problem solved with the tub and other sinks, washer and dishwasher… But the kitchen sink- no matter how many years times I scrubbed or how many plinks- the odor would overtake me when I was trying to eat or on the sofa. It was legit making me a little crazy. I stuck regular brushes down there, gloved up and reached in with a sponge, used a foaming cleaner, etc… still stinky af. I finally found this and OMG… I’ll put the super gross part in caps so it’s easy to heed the warning… IF YOU HAVE A STINKY SINK because of the weird new flaps over the garbage disposal, SPIN THE BRUSH around the flaps after you have GENTLY pulled it inside out with the brush (see photos) and RISNSE BEFORE YOU PULL THE BRUSH OUT. AND REMOVE THE BRUSH SLOOOOWLY. I did not do this and learned through trauma. I tried more of a plunger method and the thick chunks of slime that flew onto my face and hair (and walls and water pitcher and coffee, etc)- unbelievable. I felt faint. When I say it was thick, I mean easily measurable, 1/8 inch or wider, to the point where I was nervous I had torn out an actual part of the sink for a second. No… it was the funk that grew between the folds and then around the surrounding ‘roof’ of the sink unit from there. Parts of the accordion flap thingy that they use for sink drain covers over newer garbage disposals cultivates stinky sludge. I definitely could NOT get it all without the this tool- it holds the flaps open and simultaneously scrubs- at least I couldn’t clean it without serious grossness and hating the inventor, and still probably not reaching everywhere. Anyway, after that first cleaning, I now just spin the brush around a few times and rinse and I’m done in literally 60-90 seconds. The scary part is that it does grow slime within weeks. This is one of those products you find yourself getting waaaay too descriptive about at dinner parties- it’s that awesome.

So, So
I expected this to work better than it did. It's OK, but I can do just as well with a cloth and soap.

Excelente.
Excelente calidad y precio. Me sirve mucho para limpiar el fondo de todo, solo quizá más delgada la punta para que entre en boletellas más angostas. Lo recomiendo !!

Cleans Under Rubber Splash Guard Beautifully
I love this product. I regularly put lemons and ice cubes down my garbage disposal to clean the inside of the unit so my unit never has a smell problem but occasionally there is a build up of slime on the top and under the rubber splash guard which I've cleaned in the past with a rag but not very thorough as the splash guard on my unit does not remove. I tried this brush and I can't believe I've been struggling to clean the rubber all this time when there was this handy little brush to clean with great ease. I am not thrilled at how expensive it is but have to admit, it works great and if it ever breaks I will buy another (hopefully the price will lower by then).

WORTH THE WAIT - works brilliantly
About 5 days late but worth the wait. My WDU stopped wqorking a few months ago and started to get a little whiffey and slow draining. I put bleach down, drain cleaner....none worked well enough. Then this little scrubby brush turns up so I got set to have another go at it. Obviously, I couldnt turn the WDU on cos its broken temporarily so I lathered up the scrubby brush and ran hot water down whilst giving it a good cleaning with plenty of elbow grease - twisting and turning all the while cleaning. I then took my S-Fixx air pump to both the sink and half sink and blew any loitering bits away. Finally, I put some boiling water down each plug hole and I have FREE FLOWING SINKS AT LAST!!! At least when I can afford the plumber, he wont have to sift through crap to fix it. THANK YOU.
