Tarragon (and other herbs and spices) can be PRICEY!!!! This bag is a great deal. It is dried tarragon - and although it is not ground or chopped, so it is largish pieces - it is easily chopped (I use a little electric chopper - it doesn't chop well with a knife as it is dried). I use tarragon in my chicken salad (and boy, is it yummy!!!). I make a LOT of chicken salad as it's one of my hubby's favorite things. The little jars that have less than a half ounce in them (and cost *almost* as much as this big bag!) get used up too quickly around here! [My hint - I chop some, put it in an empty glass container and use it til it's gone, then chop more and repeat....]. Tarragon is excellent in a number of dishes... it has a very mild licorice-like taste (note - I hate licorice... but tarragon is very mild, and I like it... go figure!). This is my second time ordering from this company and they have not disappointed me. The size is great and the product is of good quality. I use it a lot to enhance the flavor of my food and for the stomach-soothing properties after eating spicy foods. This is a good value for money and quality product. Always freshly dried.

I love this kasuri methi (fenugreek). I usually stuck with the indian brands. But one time I ran into this when they were out of my usual. I ordered this skeptically but was pleasantly surprised! Really good quality packaging and the flavor is fresher and kinda less burnt , but more dried . Its good enough so I can add it for aroma and flavor to cooked dishes , at the same time it will go with salads as well (im a diabetic so that helps) .. you wont be disappointed!

I use Tarragon for saute'd veggies, soups, salads and rice pilaf...it is one of my favorite go-to herbs, but since moving to Hawaii, I have not been able to find it. When I got this bag I realized I won't go through this much in 2 years (which is it's expiration date), but no problem, it was still an excellent deal so I will give half to my neighbor. My one disappointment is that the herb has already lost much of it's vibrant green color and is looking more olive green, so I am not sure of the freshness. It also has a good bit of stems and sticks, even though it says it is Premium Quality. But for the price, I guess it is still a good value. I haven't cooked with it yet so I don't know of its potency, but I did taste it from straight out of the bag and it had acceptable flavor.

Only 1 slight con. Product was slightly dry but nothing worth losing a star. Better dryer I guess, less chance of mold on a bulk item. Very pleased with this product and will buy again.

This bag is a LOT larger than I expected 4 ounces of tarragon to be. The bag is about the physical size of a quart of milk. I was actually IN THE grocery store looking at purchasing tarragon (the prices were so high for so little!) so I pulled out my phone on the spot to check Amazon’s prices and bought it right then. I am going to keep my old empty jar and use this to refill it. I am excited to try this. It smells great like it has good flavor, but I have not actually used it yet. But it’s going to take me a long time to use it up! Thank you seller for such a good value. I will update my post after I try it.

I cook a lot of Indian food, and read that if this ingredient were omitted from a dish the overall flavor would suffer a great deal. That was accurate. I have no idea what you could substitute to come close to this flavor. I really enjoy the taste. I also read that a newly opened and fresh bag of these leaves should smell strongly of maple syrup. These certainly do. They arrived with a production date only a few weeks prior to my purchase, and a suggested expiration date one year later. The bag is huge, so these will last a very long time.

Flavor is fine, it is a lot of tarragon, but, it is not just easy to use, nice tarragon leaves, but seems like the entire plant just somewhat shredded up. Therefore, there are a lot of stems and the leaves seem tough. So, I had these complaints right out the door when I received my tarragon some time ago, but I gained a new complaint when I was filling my smaller container and got stabbed by what I believe to be a large thistle thorn! It was two joined thorns, actually, about an inch long each. Let me just say that it hurt and I hate to think about it making it into some food. So, I advise processing your tarragon before putting it in a dish.
