COW&COW Padded Gait Belt with 4 Handles and Quick Release Buckle 5.5 inchs(Black, Large/40inches-60inches)

My 19 year old son acquired a neurological condition that took away his ability to walk several years ago. Since becoming ill, he has been receiving Physical Therapy to learn how to walk again. This has been the PERFECT gait belt for him!The narrower gait belts he has been using are painful and can trigger painful abdominal myoclonus for him. This is the first gait belt he has found comfortable. There are three handles on this gait belt which are nice allowing us to hold on to the handle rather than placing our fingers under the prior gait belts. The belt is easy to apply and fastened together with a clasp that is very durable and secure. We have had no problem with the belt sliding down. As with all gait belts, it needs to be applied snugly. I highly recommend this belt!

The belt is working out very well. I'm able to keep my 94 year old dad from falling. It's very comfortable for my dad to wear. I really like the 4 handles because it doesn't matter which side of him I'm on I'm able to keep him stable.

I bought this to use on our FD for helping to lift patients off the ground, etc. I liked the idea of being padded, having 4 handles, and having a potential for a 60" girth. Unfortunately the problem isn't just the girth but the patient's body shape. The waist is usually the largest circumference. The problem with that is that as we go to lift the patient the belt slides up to their chest, breasts, or armpits; which adds discomfort, pain, embarrassment to our patients. Our lifting abilities become diminished the higher we have to lift. My suggestion would be add a couple of straps with clips to go through the groin, under the buttocks so the padded gait belt doesn't rise up as much on the patient. I'd be willing to be an Alpha or Beta tester for such a product. Thank you.

Bought it for my husband, to help to keep him upright and comfortable standing up.

Doesn't seem reliable or sturdy grip

Works as expected, great for lifting really small people, without needing to carry them like a bag of concrete.

Works well for my mom who has dementia and had a hip replacement. Wish the small had a little more slack. It’s tight and not much adjustment. She’s 100lbs and this is not quite big enough for her size.

I tried to use it to transfer husband from recliner to commode and immediately removed it and went back to one we have been using, as the grips were very uncomfortable for me and it pinched him under arm pits even though it’s padded, it didn’t work for us
