オウガにとっては四枚目のアルバムとなるhomely。はっきり言って、かなり賛否両論意見がわかれる内容になってます。今までのオウガのアルバムやミニアルバムは、全体的にどことなくゆらゆらとしつつも、ところどころ『突き抜ける』ようなキラーチューンが１、２曲ほどあった（個人的な意見にはなってしまうものの、アルファベータで言えばコインランドリーやフラッグ、浮かれている人で言えばタンカティーラなど）。だが、このhomelyにはそんな曲は入っていない。他のレビュアーの方が先に言ってくれているが、そもそもサビという概念が存在しない。これが吉と出るか凶と出るかは、聴き手次第だと思う。ポップで元気なオウガが好きな方には、正直言ってオススメは出来ないかもしれない。終始ゆらゆらしていて、究極にシンプルであるからこそ、得体の知れない恐怖すら感じる笑。どことなく不気味な雰囲気が漂っているのに、それすらも心地よく感じてしまう笑。そんな不思議な曲が詰まったアルバム。まるで夢の中にいるような、そんな気持ちにさせてくれるアルバム。聴けば聴くほど好きになる。これが新しい境地に到達したオウガの新しい形なのかもしれません。
