Rats love it!!
My rat boys love this product! At first they were hesitant to put their little hands in the holes but now they use it like pros! The only problem I have is that it’s not super easy to put together the screw that holds the clear front panel on is not very long and barely reaches out the other side, let alone when the bead is in place. It makes it very difficult to securely tighten it and it also has started to break the small plastic lip on the back a little. Honestly if that little plastic lip wasn’t there this whole problem would likely go away I’m not sure what it’s purpose is. Other than that miner flaw it is still perfectly useable and I love having the extra enrichment for my boys! It fits really nicely in the bars of my critter nation cage as well!

Super (and affordable) Fun For Forgaing Birds!
Took a week for my Green Cheek conure to get into it but she loves this thing now! It has really upped her foraging time and she spins the disc even when its empty, seemingly for the fun of it (or maybe expecting something yummy to fall out). I added some wood beads to the face so she could turn it easier but she doesn't have a problem moving it without them now that she's confident with it. She can give up on toys if they aren't easy enough at first. My only gripes are that the plastic seems fragile, and it's a bit inconvenient to hang, say, if you want to keep moving it to new places in the bird's environment or take it out to wash. The nut that screws in the center in the back can get in the way trying to hang it and it barely has any screw to hold to, but it holds.

Works great for rats
I'm using this for my two ratties, so far it's excellent. Easy to load without needing to remove the front, or even remove from the cage (i have it on the wide swinging front door of their CN). The boys have already gotten a feel for it, so I'll be feeding more of their main mix out of this as added mental stimulation. I'm sure this would be a hit with parrots conure sized and up, but I wouldn't necessarily trust something with a beak the size of an African Grey around this alone (risk of plastic breaking or ingestion too high for any birds with such a strong beak). Likely won't last forever in my rat cage either, but for the price this is a pretty good deal. Very easy to attach to the cage, very easy to load, and very easy to clean as needed to boot.

i do NOT think this is safe for my GCC
Got this as a foraging toy for my green cheek conure. A few things posed an issue and I will unfortunately be returning: 1. (most important!) the holes are JUST too small for his head, meaning he tries to shove his head in the holes to retrieve the treats, smushing his eyes and posing a risk of getting stuck. NOT a risk i am willing to take at all. if you have a bird gcc-sized or smaller, do NOT get this version. (NOT THE SELLER'S FAULT! just needs to be made clear the dangers and how important it is to get appropriately-sized toys for your animals!) 2. I got the clear version and it confused him. Kept him busy, which is great, but also frustrated him and he got angry and bitey because of it. He tried to reach the seeds from everywhere but the holes and just got lucky when he happened across a hole. 3. The front bit with the holes has a weird balance issue. The two pockets at the 3 and 9 oclock positions (the ones touching the brackets) were the ones i filled for a test and when setting the holes to either of those spots, the front bit spun, as if the weight was distributed unevenly on the acrylic front with the holes...which makes no sense, since it's a singular sheet of plastic and not the part filled with seeds, if that makes sense. Basically, the holes moved on their own in some positions and it was very frustrating and dangerous for my little guy. 4. Most of these types of foraging toys come with a little knob to turn the face of it. I assumed this would have one (hard to see on the picture if there is or isn't), but it doesn't, making it hard for my bird to turn it. 5. It would be really frustrating to attach this to the cage AND unattach it to fill it back up, clean it, etc. Overall, my major concern is the safety of my baby and this does not seem safe enough for him. The thing is sturdy as far as I can tell and looks nice after taking the protective plastic off the front, but the issues just outweigh that. I will get another doohickey like this that has more appropriate holes for my conure.

Great foraging toy for pet rats
My pet rats love this! I put treats in it and it keeps them busy. Make sure you remove the clear plastic film that covers the front of it. I didn’t even know it was there until I found my rats playing with it.

BIRD OWNERS BEWARE
The spinning front piece of this product has a plastic wrap adhered to it (on both sides) that is pretty much invisible - until your bird starts to pull it off. This is a HUGE safety issue. The product itself is otherwise... Fine. My bird figured it out fairly quickly

high quality foraging toy
this is a great foraging toy!! my goffins cockatoo spends lots of time getting the treats out and it seems to be a good difficulty and size for her.

Not for parrots...
I was rather skeptical about ordering this product seeing at it was pretty affordable and inexpensive. I've typically seen these wheels run around $25 at my local pet store. Well... I guess there's a few reasons why it's cheaper than expected. First and foremost, this is in no way a parrot friendly toy. This thing is easy to take apart! -And birds are incredibly smart with pulling and taking things apart. I've been through the toys by the hundreds. The reason it's easy to take apart is because of its overly complex design. The screw in the middle serves as a piece to keep the front faced wheel in place, while also serving as the piece to make the wheel spin. If you tighten this thing too much, which is needed with crafty parrots, the wheel doesn't spin. If you leave it too loose the wheel will spin, but your bird will have it apart in less than 10 minutes. Another design flaw includes the way you attach this to the side of a cage. If you have a cage with wide bar spacing this item will not stay in place at all unless you attempt to go out and purchase more parts to modify it. *which wouldn't be worth it because it'll be taken apart by your bird regardless. There's not enough of the plastic on the sides to press firmly against the washers. If they included larger washers in sets of two then it may have had a chance at staying in place better. Unfortunately right now, mine is barely hanging on there. It more or less rests on a perch to keep standing. Wide bar spacing = no go for this product. This item is also a chore to attach by yourself because of every little piece. It can be done, but it would be much easier with a partner. Transparent appears to be more of a frosted glass transparent on the front facing wheel, but is clear on the sides(?). *One last thing... in regards to the seller. Please please pleaseeee don't attach cheap stickers directly onto the product (especially food/toy products)! Whenever you try to peel these off it leaves a huge papery mess and leaves behind heaps of adhesive that is very difficult to wash off. It's easier to include a piece of paper with tips. By the way, I received no instructions with this product. Just a sticker talking about another sticker. I wouldn't bother with this product unless you are giving it to a small pet that doesn't have the knowledge to take things apart. -And it needs to be fitted for a cage with not so wide bar spacing. I was rather disappointed with this buy sadly.

Does the job
I bought this for my lovebird. It took him a few days to figure out what it did, but now he seems to have the hang of how it works. It's a little big/heavy for him, so sometimes he struggles to get into a position where he can find a foothold and get a grip on the front plate to turn it, but that's part of the challenge. Unfortunately because he is just a little bird, most of his preferred foods and treats are small enough that they fall right out. I'll try putting come crinkled paper in with the food to up the challenge a little and keep his snacks from all just spilling out at once. Dismantling it to clean is a pain, so I've only been using it for dry non-perishables to keep it from getting soiled too quickly.

Easy to install, robust, does exactly what it must.
For those having a hard time peeling the plastic protector off, just use the tip of a precision knife. Easy peasy.

not for conures or smaller birds
it’s okay but the little wheel does go up and he can’t get to it cuz he’s a conure but it keeps him busy sometimes it’s a good size too

Rats love it
My rats love this, it is a little tricky to get the food in the toy, but anything for my ratties. Every rat is different so I can’t say all rats will love it but this one did work for me and my rats
