Iceco VL45 Evaluation
This all metal Iceco VL45 is sturdy and well made. Compressor works great and quietly. The sturdy lid with a wide rubber gasket and positive locking hasps, as well as steel the carrying handles make this a great addition to my gear. All the controls and ventilation are on one end allowing me to maximize space without compromising proper air circulation. After much testing it always stays within two degrees F either way of what I've set it on and it gets cold from a normal start quickly. Since I often use this with a solar generator I was very happy with the low wattage draw. Everything about this fridge/freezer is a keeper for me. I have only one suggestion for the prospective buyer. That is to use a quality silicone clear caulk around all of the inside metal edges on the interior of the unit before use. The inside metal is a great fit and looks great too but if you were to spill some liquid inside the unit there really isn't anything to keep that liquid from slowly seeping out of the storage compartment or just having an accumulation of crude in those tight bottom corners. That step took me five minutes to complete and wipe downs and clean-ups of the storage compartment are now so simple. For me this purchase was worth every penny. Thank you Amazon & Iceco.

Great product and great customer service
I love this thing - quite and efficient - holds a ton - uses AC or DC power - works great for camping and for family holidays sitting inside holding drinks(without having to worry about keeping Ice in it. Besides that its got the same compressor as the more expensive brands, so its going to last well. Thanks to the gang at Juniper for pointing me to this thing. I had 1 issue because It didn't end up working in the location i had planned and the customer service team was excellent to work with and helped me get to a great solution. On top of that I ended up talking to the same customer service agent both times, no need to start over with what was happening, it was a breath of fresh air. Thanks Gang - I'm definately recommending this to friends and family.

Impressive Compressor Cooler, Best I have Owned!
This compressor cooler is a beast! It weighs around 56 lbs because of it's full metal construction. After testing this cooler for over 24 hours I have been blown away with the performance. Over a time period of 24 hours it pulled 0.26Khw through my watt meter so it averages 10.8 watts continuous power draw using ECO mode (ambient temperature of 79 degrees F). That is extremely efficient! It hold's the desired set temperature very well and is very quiet while running. I was getting normal power cycles of the compressor running for 11 minutes, and then it sitting off for 50 minutes, and then the compressor would turn on again for another 11 minutes. Very well insulated! While doing my own measurements of the interior spacing the size is actually closer to 49 Quarts. It has two removable baskets and a bright LED light that turns on as the lid is opened up. It runs off both 12volts DC (car 12 volt adapter) and 120volts AC (wall outlet). This makes it very convenient to run basically anywhere! It also features a Danfoss BD35F compressor, not a Chinese clone. NEVER BUY ICE AGAIN! Buy this 12 volt compressor cooler and run it off your 12 volt in your car while traveling, or plug it into an outlet in your hotel. You can also run this off a standalone battery box in an emergency situation and charge the battery with a solar panel. I would recommend ICECO as a brand and this cooler specifically because of it's good size. No need to go and buy a more expensive brand.

VL45 - Well built portable reefer/freezer
VL45 - I have had this for about 4 weeks now, and I am testing it. The first week on 110v power as a refrigerator, then one week on my LiFePO4 power box on 12 volts as reefer, and for the last two weeks on the power box as a freezer at 5F. I filled it with contents from my home freezer, and everything is frozen rock hard like it should be. So far it has worked better than expected. The power draw on 12 volts is around 34 watts on the low setting, while running. The freezer temperature fluctuates about 4-5 degrees, which is normal for this type of equipment. The noise level is lower than expected. I can hear the cooling fan, but not the compressor. It was expensive but is well built.

Working great, fits well in my 5th Gen 4Runner.
I bought the ICECO VL45 to use while over-landing camping. There is no electricity in the places where I camp. I've always used expensive ice chest before and just filled up with ice on the last opportunity. I bought the ICECO because it appeared to be well-made, and it was the right size to fit into the cargo space in my 5th generation 4Runner. It was delivered in perfect condition. It appears to be a quality refrigerator freezer unit. The lid is thick and well weighted. The hinges are heavy duty, the handles are very robust, and the controls are straight forward and easy understand. The instructions can be a little confusing because some of the instructions apply to a different unit, it gives no indication that it is referring to a different unit. It is very quiet and cools down very quickly. The temperature is a little off, so bought a commercial fridge/freezer thermometer to put in the inside. One area where I have concern is whether or not it will be able to keep up with the heat, should I have to be parked with it in the vehicle with the windows up in the summer, for an extended period of time. I tested this by using it on a family outing. I left it plugged in and running at a family outing. My 4Runner was turned off and the ICECO was plugged into the DC outlet in the back. I had the temperature set to try and keep the inside cooler temperature at 40F. It was in the mid 90F outside air temperature. I'm sure the inside vehicle temperature was well in excess of 100F. The ICECO was unable to keep the 40F. When the inside temperature rose above 50 I turned it off. This is an extreme test (vehicle turned off, in the sun, windows cracked open slightly). The ICECO seems to have a very low power draw. I have ran it all day powering it with my GOAL Zero Yeti 400. It only dropped one bar down from full. I also have the 100 watt brief case solar panels that should be able to keep up with power usage of the ICECO. I have not tested this yet, but on paper the numbers indicate it should work. I have no doubt the ICECO will be able to keep up while traveling or in cooler conditions, my only concern is in extreme heat, which I will try my best to guard against. There is more testing that I will do before I leave on my next trip. I have contacted ICECO to find out if they make an insulated cover for it. I have not gotten a reply from them. Because of it not holding a lower temperature in the extreme heat, and not getting a reply about an insulated cover, is why I have graded it with 4 stars.

Great for camping
I love my fridge. I bought it for camping, overlanding, travel. When not in my truck, it is plugged in inside my shop with drinking water. So it is nearly always running. When we travel, I leave it in my truck. It runs fine (of course) from the dedicated outlet I installed in the back of the truck. Over night, approximately 15 hours, the refrigerator draws the truck battery from 12.6 volts to about 12.4 volts, so I have no problems starting my truck in the morning, or of damaging its battery. Plenty of room for food and drinks for 1-2 people for several days. I am grateful that I have graduated from those nasty freeze-dried pouches! A couple of weeks ago, nearly a year of ownership, the fridge stopped cooling well. I sent a message to Iceco. They had me perform a simple overnight test to verify that there was a problem. They shipped me a new replacement fridge the next business day. That was a shock - I was ready for the BS vortex that so many companies now provide. I am a fan!

Awesome for Overlanding
I recently got my hands on the ICECO VL45 Portable Refrigerator with SECOP Compressor, and it's been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. Here's why I think it's worth every penny: Impressive Performance: This fridge is a beast. Pre-cooling the contents before loading is key, as it performs best that way. Whether plugged into AC power or your vehicle's DC outlet, it chills quickly. Plus, when connected to a portable power station, it's remarkably efficient. I never had an issue with running out of power on my deep cycle battery on a 4 day trip. Sturdy and Thoughtful Design: The all-metal construction gives it a robust feel, and the compressor operates quietly. The lid features a wide rubber gasket and secure locking hasps, ensuring a tight seal. The controls and plugs are on the same end, there is another model that has an additional plug on the other side which would be a bonus for loading into a car or truck differently. Temperature Precision: While it may run a few degrees above the displayed set point, it holds the temperature consistently. I found that setting it slightly lower than desired keeps contents at the perfect temperature. In summary, the VL45 is a game changer for me on the go Overlanding. I finally can stop buying ice and having boxes and paper disintegrate in ice water. Highly recommended!

ICECO Warranty Claim
I own 2 ICECO VL45 Refrigerator/Freezers. The older one is more than 6 years old and works well. The second one has stopped working at 2 years and is being replaced under warranty. Great service from ICECO. Looking forward to getting the new unit.

Good Customer Service
I was so excited to receive this fridge. Not only is it the perfect size for our on-the-go family constructed with high-grade components, but it looks damn cool. We were tired of buying ice to keep in coolers that never worked great and the contents would always be a wet mess. This fridge solved that problem and we could not be happier. The hardware is heavy duty and the high quality compressor should last for years. I did noticed the temperature inside the fridge to be off a few degrees after checking with a thermometer and contacted ICECO, they replied quickly with the information to correct the internal temperature easily. It is a little expensive but if you compare it to other fridges in this category it is actually a good value. I recommend ICECO, they have good products and they care about their customers satisfaction.

Best icebox on the planet!!!
Amazing unit! Iceco VL45 Taking a trip to Arizona for 6 months in the dessert. We needed to expand our grocery capacity being there are no stores in the dessert. We were skeptical as first due to previous coolers/ freezers we had purchased in the past. Most previous products cooled at best, not freezing the items and eventually usually ended up with a melted DC cord. At times the temp in the motorhome was 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Yet in the Iceco everything remains frozen. We were boondocking with insufficient solar to run air conditioners, but the Iceco worked beautifully. We purchased the VL45 2.5 years ago and only once we thought we had a problem with the settings. We contacted Iceco directly, they responded immediately and step by step took us through testing procedures that took three days to complete and rectify the problem. I don’t remember ever dealing with a manufacturer that was so helpful and ready to stand behind their product. I would have no problem recommending the VL45 to anyone. Floyd

Great cooler with great quality!
Great cooler and built to last. Easy to transport and keeps its temperature 🌡consistent with plenty of space to pack in your food choices. Only downside is when you 🔌plug into the unit I find the connection is a little delicate and can come loose if it's knocked into. They should have a connection that secures the power outlet to the cooler as a precision. All in all I an very satisfied with this product!
