Sexy & Versatile :) I’m in love w/ this tool
If you’re like me who likes to fix/repair things or tinker around gadgets, then, this is a must have. I chose this item specifically because I like to carry it around with me without looking too nerdy :D (nothing wrong w/ being too nerdy. I do love the pouch that came with it as it keeps all the bits organized & it is very compact — NOT bulky at all. I can fit it in my small purse. I’m trying to fix my Moto360 and replace the battery and this helped me a lot tearing it apart. This kit does meet my expectations and do love that it is magnetic, which, is very helpful when screwing super tiny screws. You can use this with different sizes & shapes of screws. These are good quality well-made toolkit. It is the perfect tool for every techie who’s always on the go. It comes with everything you need if you were to tear apart gadgets, upgrade SSD/hard drives, fix motherboards, smart devices/tablets etc..There are some tools that are about $6 less than what I paid for, but I do love the compact design w/ variety of detachable bits to choose from plus the bonus of having tweezers, suction cup and various spudgers – these are what makes this a very VERSATILE set. I’m a girl, probably one of the few who loves tools and this is definitely a sexy tool to have 😀

The best kit out there for the money!
I've been cracking my iphones open for years -- replacing screens and batteries. More recently, I started upgrading my macbooks with SSD drives. I was getting tired of using the cheap tools that came with the replacement batteries, so I decided to upgrade. I wasn't sure at what cost, and whether I'd end up with more cheap tools. Actually grieving over the selection process. I chose this kit because it appeared to be all-inclusive for my needs + the reviews were quite favorable. I changed out an old hard drive for an SSD on my daughter's macbook pro today. What A delight it was to use these tools! The quality appears to be decent, the tips are nicely magnetized -- they hold screws well, and the selection of bits is never-ending; something for everything. And to top it off, the kit comes with a little magnetic parts mat. Talk about a life saver! I can't tell you how much time I've spent on my knees looking for the screw that got away. And it all comes in a nice compact zipper case that should last for years to come. And let's mention the price - fantastic! If you're looking for an affordable tool set for small electronic appliances, look no further -- this is it!

Has just about fastener remover necessary for computer/tech repairs, plus some other essentials.
I had the smaller kit, but one of the slotted heads bent, and since then, I've fumbled along. I also have a physically larger kit, but with less drivers. This one includes just about EVERY driver you might need - including pentalobes and tri-wings, essential for repairing a certain brand of computer/smartphone. it also has openers that look to be perfectly designed for lifting adhesive-secured surfaces. For those quick emergency repairs away from the workbench, it includes a magnetic mat that sits in one half of the clamshell case - a VERY practical inclusion. The only thing missing is a rivet head cutter for certain keyboard removal/replacements. Given my experience with the previous set, I would be more careful with the drivers, especially any that have thin edges - slots and tri-wings in particular. That said, I think this is a great tool kit that will get you through most basic computer/tech device repairs, and is portable enough to keep in your go-bag for emergency repairs.

Have had this since 2018 and it still holds up.
I buy a lot of Tekton tools. They are very good for the price and the company stands behind their products with outstanding customer service. You could do much worse and pay more. This Kit? Just buy it because one day you’ll need it to tighten up your glasses when you get old. I use mine all the time and it’s never let me down. If you’re working on a swollen battery fruit computer a hot tip is to press the back cover down near the screw while using to tool to unscrew. This removes some of the friction from the screw head and should make screw removal easier. All these bits and tools in a nice case that’s held up for 7 years of hard careful use? It’s a no brainer. This thing has saved my bacon so many times I’ve lost count. Cheers!

Very good for the price, but not a lifetime purchase
These are great. Everything you need for working on laptops/phones is here. The bits aren’t magnetic but there is a magnet in the driver handle, so they become magnetic when you insert them. This is also the design flaw. The magnet is all that holds bits in place. It’s strong, and that works well. However, in my first set the magnet fell out. It was about a year and a half, maybe two years old at that point. That rendered the driver largely useless as the bits then fell out very easily and also weren’t magnetized when inserted. I contacted Tekton, but didn’t get a response. So I just bought another set. I could probably have dropped some epoxy in the handle and tried to get the magnet to stick, but there’s not much surface area and the set is so reasonably priced I figured I’d just order it again. At this price I consider it basically disposable. And I was happy enough with it that I bought it again rather t Han look for another set. If you don’t want to drop the money on a super expensive German set, this is probably a good bet. The bits hold up well (don’t bend, warp, or strip) even at the smaller sizes. The case feels high quality. The extra tidbits (spudger, tweezers, suction cup, etc.) are a nice touch. The driver has a free-spinning piece at the top that makes it very easy to use.

Great set, lasts forever!
I purchased this in 2016 and am still using the same set in 2025. It's held up really well, and has a great selection of bits - in fact, I haven't needed another bit for any small electronics work since I got this. Attached is a picture of my 9 year old set. The only damaged bits at this point are the smallest flathead (which got bent) and the T5 bit (which still works, but got twisted somehow at some point). I also added a second bit holder for some small hex head bits. The case is also in great condition, with the only damage being a skid mark where I (stupidly) tried to use it to stop a spinning bike wheel.

I changed my tune... UPDATED 2x review)
FINAL UPDATE: I owe it to Tekton to write this. You can see below that I initially had a bad experience. However, yesterday I had a macbook pro with an extremely swollen internal battery and I used my tekton tools to get the batter out. Long story short, they held up against a LOT of torque because the battery was putting a lot of pressure on many of the screws. One trilobe screw I rounded off because it just wouldn't turn, but the trilobe bit was fine after this: totally unaltered by the force. This time the tools where durable and rigid enough to remove the screws fine. I don't know if Tekton has improved their quality assurance since my original order or if I just got a random bad batch of bits, but the replacement kit they sent me is of much higher quality than the original set I got. I finally have the electronics repair kit of my dreams. UPDATE: I'm adding a star, and possibly more in the future, due to the unrivaled customer service. A rep from the company has reached out to every single mediocre review for this product, including mine. In my case, they insisted on sending me a new one, even though I had already returned the original for a full refund months ago. The rep mentioned that most complaints seem to come from using these bits on apple products and speculated that apple may have its screws especially tight. Based on my feel, that did not seem to be the case though I think it may be possible that apple uses some kind of nonstandard screw sizes, which could result in a bad fit for the bits and thus damage to the bits. So... I have currently used my new bits to fix some binoculars. I used only the 000 philips head bit. It seems to have held up. I have my fingers crossed that I don't experience the same quality issues I had before because this is a really slick, compact yet comprehensive little electronics repair kit. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This kit looked really promising out of the box, with a comprehensive array of bits and other tools to keep any amateur technician happy. I installed a new LCD on my MacBook Pro with these and found that every bit I used twisted and deformed with the slightest torque. I'm sending it back.
