I ordered this plane as a project to make in the winter evenings and then gave it to my son as a present. He was delighted with it and I really enjoyed making it. I would definitely order another one as I was very happy with the quick delivery.

Loved making it but it is a very difficult model to make and the pieces are hard to cut out.

The kit looks like it will build well and look great when finished, but there is no glue supplied, or tissue paper if you had wanted to cover it, just nine sheets of thin ply, laser-cut, a small amount of black cotton thread and a sanding stick. That is all. They do not even recommend a particular type of glue. It is certainly not an easy challenge to a model builder, but I will save it for Christmas and hopefully enjoy it. Had it been £10 cheaper I would give another star.

Really enjoyed assembling this model. Not easy to do, but it wouldn't be so enjoyable if it were simple. I found the parts to be very accurate but because of the size, some were quite delicate so take care when removing from panels. Instructions are not easy to understand as they have been translated into English. I found it best to read them several times to get it clear what is required. Otherwise I found no faults, and would be happy to recommend this model to anyone.

Maybe I was unlucky, but in my kit, the laser cutting had only half penetrated the wood in about half of the sheets. I tried several types of knife (Stanley, xacto, surgical blades) and it was impossible to cut through to through to the other side. So, I could not remove the pieces, and could not build the model. Too late to return so money wasted. I bought a similar kit, for a different plane, from a different (also Chinese) manufacturer that did not have that problem, so it is clear that this problem can be avoided.

Pieces are very delicate and assembly is quite tedious. Extras for some parts are provided in case of breakage. Requires a great deal of patience. Good luck!
