Hepu P472 Engine Water Pump

This is a well respected pump manufacturer. Installed in early November 2015, with no issues. This was part of a preventative maintenance project of the entire cooling system (radiator, all associated cooling plastics, thermo, hoses, pulley's, sensors, etc. - as well as the common oil housing repair and clan-up procedure - not oil filter housing - but housing gasket failure).If you are this far into the car, do it all and do it right. Unbelievable how fragile some of the plastic parts actually are and especially after 90,000 miles and its second full service of same. To be expected but boy, you can see how easy a catastrophic failure can happen/could happen with any BMW. Talk about an ounce of prevention rather than a pound of a headache!Money well spent and goos for another worry free 50,000 miles...then do it again! Geez!Priced right and a no brainer. Used on a 2001 E46 325i. Comes with the O ring gasket. Install the gasket dry except possibly a rubber friendly silicon grease, and you do not need RTV on face of flange. If the inner bore of the water pump housing is scored, that is where any seating issues lay/lie in terms of the o-ring (you should have zero issues) but if scored spend your time very carefully smoothing the bore area using recommended approaches found elsewhere on web. It is a tapered bore (a cone tapering inward)...be careful.

Great OEM water pump replacement for BMW M54 motor on the Z4. High quality build and full metal impeller. Not easy to install on the z4 due to the front cross member but can be done by removing the engine mount bolt and raising one side of the motor

After only 51,000 miles, distilled water, and BWM Antifreeze this HEPA "German Manufacture" pump failed at the bearing. The sound of failure showing up after the leak of fluid. Designed to fail quality and materials standards are sadly the norm today. At least the original OEM after 138,000 miles started making noise before failing... I miss my 1987 Honda Accord... LOL It seemed to run forever with peppy 2.0, tight stearing, comfortable ride, great heat and AC, windows and door latches that NEVER had any issues!

Installed this in my '04 330i. It seems well constructed and fit perfectly. No leaking and it seems to perform well. Time will tell if it is durable, but from all indications it should be.

Well the pump and O-ring looks great but I couldn't install it yet. Need a special tool to remove serpentine belt! At least I put in the thermostat :-) Other than that the package came quick and safe. I recommend this pump cause it's not plastic and well manufactured.Thank you
