Bates Boots: Women's 9 Inch Steel Toe US Navy Military Boot 1788

I work in an outside warehouse environment, and the walking surfaces tear up boots pretty quick. These have very thick tread that seems like they will last longer than the average pair. They also have reinforced bottoms and very durable laces/rivets. Which is great as cheap rivets/stretchy lace are common problems with boots. They're extremely attractive as far as work boots go, as in I debated using them only outside of work, attractive. The only problem I have is that due to the reinforcements around the collar and the bottom part of the boot,but not of the sleeve,and an utter lack of padding, the reinforced areas continuously rub against my heal and lower shin. It has rubbed sores there even through wool socks. I haven't worn them in completely yet,so the boot might very well end up fitting more comfortably when I've made it the whole week, if I can make it. It also may be that I ordered them a size too big and need to order smaller next time.

I was looking for a boot that would be great for working backstage in Theatre and these do not disappoint. They are not an everyday boot, unless you have strong toes. With the steel toe, the shoes worked muscles all day in my feet I have never used and I had a new definition of tired feet by the end of the day. But these were great for wearing for safety once in a while! Also, they ran just a little big. Normally, a 5.5 Wide fits perfectly, but I feel like I have almost an inch between my toe and the end of the shoe. Someone told me that space is what they have/recommend for their steel toe, so I am just keeping them.

A little stiff and take some work to break in but glad I was able to get a woman's boot that fits better. Just what I needed. Also glad they are full leather without the mesh sides to keep out fluids

These boots I got for a cheap price. I know the good quality of Bates so I ordered them. I didn't know how they were going to fit because I had to order them in an extra wide because that's all they had. I have a narrow foot but I got them and they fit just fine.
