They work well. Stick to anything.

These will do a good job of immobilizing things that make cellars and attics less pleasant. The instructions say to fold them up to make little houses, but I cut them lengthwise in half with a utility knife and carefully remove the cover sheet when I place them. Why carefully? They can stick to humans, too. We don't have pets, so that may effect your choices.
