A Must Have Reference Book
This book has been a real helpful tool for me. It covers nearly everything you could possibly want or need to know about the ipod touch 5th generation. I am running ios 8 which is not covered in this book, but never the less most operrations are identical to earlier ios versions. I like the fact that the author offers his personal help link if needed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is as clueless as I was about how to navigate the apps and menus and in general, operate the ipod touch 5th generation. Thank you Brad

Who knew?
If you have an iPhone why get an iPod touch? The battery for one lasts longer. Music content on iPhone can be reduced to just Playlists providing much more space on the iPhone. Yes I know if Apple provided for SD cards, space would be less an issue. Then of course one is playing with SD cards that are easy to lose. The iPod touch frees the iPhone. Brad Miser's book My iPod Touch provides information to make it all work beautifully together. Thanks to Apple one has to think of which connector you have. I have the older one thus 4th needs to be covered for me. The lightning connector is also covered here.Buy any high tech is an investment. A few dollars more for information on how to get the most of it even if you think you know it all is money well spent. Brad Miser's book will provide the most jaded at least one thing to make it worth the money.

Just what I needed
I didn't understand the power of my IPod Touch until I got this book. It clearly and quickly got me up to speed. It is easy to use and very comprehensive. Glad I bought it.

Excellent Companion
It's hard to fault this manual. I would have given it five stars except I feel that the index could be more comprehensive. The rule of thumb for the index of a technical manual should be no less than 10 percent of the total number of pages. But this sure beats the Apple User Manual for the iPod touch which does not contain an index of any kind. I reccomend this manual to anyone who wishes to take full advantage of the iPod Touch's many features.

Returned in frustration
I know the iPod is highly rated and my research indicated I would be getting a great deal at Amazon. However, I was not aware that EVERYTHING you do with the thing has to go through iTunes. What a pain. In the short time i had the device, I never did get connected to download any of my files. Never could figure out all the codes, etc. Therefore I am waiting for the second coming of the Nexus 7 - if it includes the ability to use extra memory. In my opinion all Apple stuff is highly overrated, overpriced and too dependent on iTunes where they try to get your money again and again. But, if you aren't 73 years old and can deal with it, the iPod screen is great even in this little device. Typing on the tiny screen can be difficult, though. Having grown up with PCs and HP in the electronics industry as an electronic component defect analyst, I just am not comfortable with the Apple way of doing things. I would much rather be able connect to my tablet like a flash drive and upload or download without going through iTunes.

ipod touch
Great informational "how to" book made simple for an old man to read and understand. Now I don't have to ask my 10 year old grandson how to do even the basic things on my ipod!

Not enough information on how to manage manage photo's. No help in finding out where the photo files are stored or how to remove them from the iPod touch.
