This is an AMAZING resource for mosaics. Especially if you are starting out or expanding to the next level. I love the format. High quality pages. Clear photographs. Helpful instructions and definitions on terminology, techniques, tools, materials. Resources/mosaic organizations (world wide) are listed in the back. Inspiration projects with pattern and finished project with explaination on different usage of shapes, color, pattern, material - these are smaller images that really inspire you to create. I am absolutely thrilled with this book. Bonnie Fitzgerald did a phenomenal job! Her ability to teach in this format and make it engaging and easy to implement is really incredible. Thankful my son gave this to me for Christmas. Such a wonderful gift and resource that I will reach for again and again.

This is a beautiful book. All supplies and instructions for doing stained glass mosaic were very clearly explained and shown. After doing ceramic mosaics, I'm starting stained glass and this book was recommended by others who are experienced in stained glass mosaics. I was not disappointed. I can't wait to sit down and thoroughly read this book. It's something I'll keep as a reference close at-hand! This is perfect as a beginner or experienced reference!

Nice book with great ideas

This book provides all you need to know to start mosaics on any type of surface, as well as insight into how to develop designs and successfully finish a project. I started some small pavers and have moved on to a larger scale project with this book. I keep it on hand as a reference.

Great book and i do believe you can never go wrong buying books well most the time anyway. The only thing in this one lacking is specific types of glue/adhesive and i needed to know that its kinda vauge on that. Need point blank this works best for glass and everything and this does not and it never says that. But other wise its a book i will reference back to for a long time and glad i boughr it

Chock full of pictures, clear explanations, and step by step instructions. Many projects included. Good book for beginners and seasoned mosaic makers.

A perfect reference book!

too much detailed writing for me and pictures were not mosiacs of my style. I returned, but for someone really wanting to learn technique and likes to read a lot, it would probably be great. I returned.

There are lots and lots of books about mosaics on here - but this wee book has it all. It is positively crammed with everything you might ever want to know and understand. The book covers the basics at one end and ventures into the more unusual as it goes along. It covers everything from how to cut tiles, through how to lay them, the effects of different coloured grouts, includes some interesting studies on the different effects gained from changing colour schemes and has literally EVERYTHING in it including setting up a work-space at the start to a quick look at innovators in the field of mosaics as it concludes. This book was recommended to me by a mosaicing-nut of a friend and she was right to do so. It does include a few projects here and there but unlike a lot of books which sound like they will tell you everything and then end up just telling you how to mosaic 25 variations on a bird-bath, this book really does cram a massive amount of all sorts into it's pages. Good for the beginner and the enthusiast alike - I even recommended it to my mosaicing tutor and she REALLY liked it. Don't look any further - just get this book!!

This is an excellent, easy to read and well set out overview of everything you need to know when starting on your mosaic hobby journey. Great basic reference book, well worth buying!
