Fairly good quality for the price and they look great.
Seems to be pretty good quality, but plugs seem to push in pretty hard. Seems like the tamper resistant flaps behind the blades make it fairly difficult to plug things in. But that's... good? I mean, that's the point, right? As long as you aren't constantly plugging and unplugging stuff, it shouldn't be a problem. That being said, the snap that these things make when you plug things in makes me worry a little bit about longevity. Things I learned during my first electrical outlet replacement job in my new house: It's really not that bad to do on your own - just be sure that you know that the correct breaker is turned off and that no one will be turning it on while you are working. No, that didn't happen to me, but safety first, people! :) These 15A outlets do NOT accept 12 gauge wiring in the push-in/back-stab/whatever-you-call-them connections in the back of the outlet. My house (bought back my childhood home, which my father remodeled about 25 years ago) is wired, as far as I know, entirely with 12 gauge wiring. Newer style outlets, and maybe building codes, suggest 14 gauge wiring for 15A circuits, so these new outlets only accept 14 gauge wiring in the back-stab connections. You CAN wrap 12 gauge around the side terminals, though, which works fine. I ran into a situation where one of the old outlets had 3 hots, 3 neutrals, and the 1 ground run to it, so I couldn't use only the side terminals unless I wanted to pigtail them. I could have gone that route, but instead, I went to Lowe's and physically checked some 20A outlets to make sure that they accept 12 gauge wire in the back-stabs... at least one of them did, so I bought that, and finished the replacement. Everything seems to be working great, and they look a million times better than the old setup... which was the brown outlets we put in decades ago and ivory faceplates that the previous owner had installed... Very happy with the install and the look. Haven't used them much since then, but all testing of things seems to indicate that they'll be a great update for us.

The best looking designer outlets matched with their screwless switch plates
Exceptional quality and a matte finish! These outlets instantly upgrade any area they're in... during a kitchen remodel I opted to upgrade all of the outlets and switches... makes a massive difference. The glossy standard style of outlet, switches and switchplates have been the same for decades! And these are barely more money than the basic hardware so there's really no excuse not to buy the good looking ones. Only thing to be aware of is that dust accumulates at the top edge of this brand's screwless switchplates.

Perfect for onward paneled walls
What can I say brown light switches are hard to find. But when you have wood paneling on the walls, you don’t want anything but brown. Trust me.

Wanted outlets that blended nicely and worked well with our new kitchen backsplash. Came across these and was delighted with the colour. Bought the colour matched, screw less cover plates to go along with them.

NOT TAMPER RESISTANT BUYER BEWARE! Some provinces REQUIRE tamper resistance for code. Very unsafe for home with Kids. My husband is a Certified Journeyman Electrician. And these are NOT UP TO CODE! And NOT AS ADVERTISED!
