PHILIPSNorelco GoStyler, Trim and Shape, model FS9185/49

This PHILIPS NORELCO GoStyler is an excellent product. I just received it today so I can't speak for the longevity of this trimmer. If I have any problems down the road I will update this review. It was a little tricky installing the AA battery because you have to twist the bottom of the trimmer to the left then pull the bottom of the trimmer down. The tricky part was getting it back up and lined up correctly to turn it to the right to close it. That said it took about a minute to get it right. The trimmer itself is OUTSTANDING!! It has great power and cuts flawlessly. I trimmed my mustache/goatee and sideburns with perfection. It looked like I went and had it done by a professional. The 3 precision combs that came with it were great although I only used one of them. It also comes with a detail shaver attachment should you need one and a AA battery to get you trimming right away. This trimmer is the perfect size and weight and is VERY easy to work with. I would pay DOUBLE the price for this trimmer, it is $19.58 here on amazon today. If you need a trimmer don't let this great price fool you, BUY IT. I am going to order another one just as a spare, it's that good.

I have had a quite a few of these types of trimmers in my day. One drop and they go bye bye. Micro touch crap, etc... This trimmer was purchased on June 7, 2018. For 15 bucks I figured what do I have to lose? I'll use it till it breaks and get a new one. Well it's still going strong after 21 months. I use it almost 4 times a week (Beard, Ears, Nose, Eyebrows) and I have only replaced the battery once. I dropped it a few times already and it's still in one piece. The attachments you normally get with one of these types of devices are useless. Not the case with this one. The comb is great for a quick eyebrow trim or cleaning up around the ears. The foil attachment was a joke at first. I thought why did they even put this in. It's actually pretty great. I use it to clean up around the beard when doing a "drive by shave" when running late. Over all it's pretty solid. I give it 5 stars for those reasons.

The only con I can think of is that it doesn't have an internal battery that's rechargeable. Otherwise, brilliant. Also since you can switch the head out entirely I could still technically use it to shave my face and not feel disgusting.I was using scissors for awhile to manscape and after doing some research because it was taking forever I looked into alternatives. I also wanted to have something that I could trim up between the glutes with. I was a little skeptical because of the small battery that it wouldn't cut well, I was pleasantly surprised that it went through my downstairs jungle like a panther. No hair stood a chance, and not wanting to go right to the skin I used the longest trimmer. So far it's been less than a day and I don't have any uncomfortable feeling itching or chaffing. That said for lighter/thinner hairs like leg hairs, the large trimmer attachment didn't really work on my upper thighs very well, though I wasn't really trying to trim that I just happened to notice it.The biggest reason I bought it was to trim where I had to trim blindly. I can't risk nicking my backside berry with scissors and I can't see whats going on so trimming there was almost impossible. Not anymore, the Norelco GoStyler worked like a charm, you still have to make sure not to hit your balloon knot but it's WAY safer than scissors. I didn't use the attachment for the canyon and just went to bare skin. It feels amazing, wiping after #2 is something I probably haven't experienced since puberty, so smooth and much cleaner since I no longer hit any hair going up or down. As far as functionality goes, 10/10, especially for the price.

i got this to use as a bikini trimmer. if you use the shortest trimmer first, then go over everything with the shaving attachment, it's pretty close to being completely smooth. if you run you finger in the opposite direction of the hair growth, you can feel the stubble, but going with the grain it feels smooth. this is fine for me. i don't need to be 100% smooth, i just want most of the hair gone because the feeling of hair down there is uncomfortable to me. this trimmer is easy to use and gets the job done. shaving with a razor really irritated my skin. i would get tons of razor burn and ingrown hairs that have left scars. i got like 2 or 3 ingrown hairs when i first used this, which is a huge improvement on like 20-30 with razors or waxing, and my skin seems to be getting used to it now.

As a bonus, the nose trimmer on my old one works fine on the new one.

I purchased this trimmer as a inexpensive set I could throw in a overnight bag and not have to lug around my more expensive trimmer. After using this trimmer it replaced my expensive set. It is more ergonomic, and very intuitive to use(for the first time my cheek bone lines and side burns came out perfectly even). I was concerned about the single "AA" battery and my heavy beard--no problems, plenty of power. It's also nice when the battery goes dead just throw in a new one and keep going(no waiting to recharge). The included accessories work great, and even comes with a battery. I highly recommend this little inexpensive trimmer for any man with a beard and/or a mustache.

This trimmer worked well for trimming my mustache/beard about every 5 days for a year. After about 10 months it starting taking a few seconds to get the blades going fast enough to cut my hairs without pulling. Now, about 15 months out, I have to take it out and turn it on for a few minutes before the motor seems to warm up and break through some friction to get going. Sometimes I even have to take the head off and manually crank the motor shaft.I've tried taking it apart to oil or clean the motor but it seems to be entirely enclosed and I'll have to break it open to clean.Worked well for its price but I'll be looking for something that will last longer.

I had been purchasing female versions of this trimmer, and they would all randomly stop working after a few months of use. I came across this, which is supposedly for men, and it hasn't stopped working. Ive had it for years. Highly recommend.
