PILÃORoasted and Ground Coffee - 17.6 oz - Café Pilão Torrado e Moído - 500g

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE PRODUCT, NOT THE VENDOR..... I'm involved in the specialty coffee industry and maintain a commercial espresso test counter with roasters. I do take my coffee seriously, and appreciate properly prepared product. Unfortunately, retail coffees are usually, by the time they're purchased by the consumer, way out of date and stale. However, this is an accepted condition worldwide as unless one roasts and properly grinds and brews at home, there are no other viable alternatives. Saying all that, and the reason I'd rate Pilao's various roast-level coffees as 5 stars, is based on known expectations. Here in the US, whether I source the coffee from my wholesaler in larger quantities than here, or purchase online or at a local Latin Market........ I know Pilao will be consistently as good if not a bit better, for our taste, as any other Brasilian import brand. The flavor we enjoy here at home in the US is not much different than what we'd experience when in Brasil. While there are other major brands, my preference, at this time, is Pilao.
