Roller Derby Slide Street Surf Skateboard Black Sox

A little heavier than the carver, this skateboard WILL pump but takes a little more work than the carvers. It’s also a 33 inch deck so it’s a bit longer too, making pumps longer than the carver. If your looking for a long distance pumper to get across town this is awesome. But if your looking to get squirly on the boardwalk this may not be the one. The deck alone is the heaviest deck I’ve ever skated, u can forget about popping this one into the air. But if your looking for long distance smooth cruising without too sharp of carves, this thing FLIES when it gets going and doesn’t require too much to maintain once at an optimal speed.

This is an awesome board for learning the pumping movement for surf skate. The price is great. I just don’t think the spring will retain its springiness. I am 180 lbs, so I end up having to muscle the pumps more, which I guess makes me stronger but probably doesn’t simulate the floaty feeling of surf. Thinking of picking up a Smooth Star. But this board is tons of fun and carvy, easy to learn to balance.

Great surf-skateboard. I bought it for my 8 year old son and he loves it. It’s not too tall as a Carver so great for beginners. However you can still surf with it effectively from side to side like a surfboard. The design is pretty and the top surface is covered with sandpaper-like coating to prevent slipping which is great.

Update from first review.My son loves this. Great way to practice for surfing on the dry land. However the bolts on the front trucks kept coming loose and when he tried to tighten the bolts but stripped the inside of the truck so it cannot connect to the board. He just got it in November and he already can’t ride it now.

It is very easy to "pump", i.e. moving by twisting your hip without push. And the turning radius is small enough to get surfing feeling.Not too high too push either.Good quality. The bolt is a little loose when received. Tied it up easily.

After riding it for an hour, I decided to skate home and broke my arm. Handles fine when you're swaying side to side, handles very poorly when you're riding it like a regular skateboard.

I bought this board for pumping. It works great. In a day I taught myself to pump on flat ground and within a week I was pumping uphill. I can ride all over my neighborhood without touching the ground.As with many skateboards, I needed to slightly loosen the axle nuts so the wheels could spin freely.

Good quality board and surfskate truck, lots of fun and a great price. Heavier than a sector nine style board, but those are flexy decks while this one is stiff to stay responsive.

I wanted to be able to practice surf moves when I can't get to the ocean. This board was great and lots of fun. It is also a great work out getting me in shape for my next surfing trip. The board is well made and takes lots of punishment from small rocks on roads without any visible damage. I have put a lot of miles on this board. It works well on down hills, level roads and slight uphills. Not able to make it up steep uphills yet but I am improving.

I recently started to skateboard. I bought an electric skateboard, which I like very much. Then a friend of mine made me try this surf board. This is so much fun. Never having to kick, just doing a waving motion gives you enough thrust to go indefenitely. I prefer it to my electric skateboard.Well made, looks nice. Very pleased with it.

As a beginner I find it fun to ride! Solid purchase.
