Looks like quality product, never used but looks dependable

I like the concept of the automatic escape and rescue hammer compared to the traditional hammers. Seems like it should do the trick in an emergency situation and the seatbelt cutter is a plus. I really like how you can mount it on your door for easy access and visibility. One minor issue is that it rattles while driving. I imagine many people probably wouldn't notice or even care. As for me I have a quiet ride in my vehicle so the rattling is noticeable, but there are ways to mitigate that. I would recommend this product.

A lot of other types of these things use a metal hammer to break the glass, which is not as easy as ceramic. You can take a small shard of ceramic and lightly toss it on some glass, which will result in an instant shatter.I hope to never need to use this product, but it is chillin in my side door forever. These came as two packages containing one life hammer each, which is great if you want them for gifts. The holders are great - very adaptable and easy to install. The seatbelt cutter is very sharp - easy to use even though well protected so no one will cut themselves.

This device is safely and sturdily mounted in a Subaru Outback. I can’t review if it works but it’s glass-breaking process is snappy & powerful.

Happy with the service, package arrived promptly and as contents were as pictured. Have not had to use it (hopefully will never have to use it) and so can't rate the product itself but it seems sturdy.Previous reviews said the seatbelt cutter blade blunted very quickly, I have not tested it on anything in case that's true, if it's only going to work a couple of times I'd rather leave it untested so it's at its sharpest if we do ever have to use it for real.

I have ordered 10 of these for my grown kids and husband and myself. Pray to God we will never have to use them but we all feel a tad safer. We've instructed the older grandkids how it works (slong with a very stern warning NEVER to touch it unless there was a real emergency. It was easy to attach the bracket although the instructions were somewhat vague...thankfully the illustration made sense. I can't imagine why a tool such ad this is not standard in all vehicles!

Hopefully will never need this! I liked this one for the fact that it has a holder 4 it that simply tightens in place with a screw.i attached it to the map slot on my RAM 1500 drivers door. God forbid I need it for myself, it should still b within my reach. I have a Keychain 1 as well,but my new truck has push button start,so my keys probably won't b within reach after a collision. Every driver should have this kind of tool,it's a lifesaver!
