The product photo shows a horizontal orientation. I received a holder that is north-south (vertical). Interestingly the ORDER page shows a photo in the vertical orientation.I'm sure from a distance a game warden will see that the fishing license is valid from the license color and profile.Probably. I hope.I won't return this item as a mis-represented product, at this low price point.But be aware you might receive a top to bottom holder, not a right to left holder.

For Califiornia Fishing Licenses this is too small. Half to fold in half for CA license to fit.Otherwise, works fine.
