Fans of First Day Jitters will love spending the last day of school in the classroom of their favorite teacher, Mrs. Hartwell. This hilarious picture book is the perfect end-of-year gift for kindergarteners, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders to give to their own teacher and show their appreciation! What do teachers do for summer vacation? Mrs. Hartwell's students worry that their teacher will miss them while they are gone for the summer. The class comes up with a way to make sure Mrs. Hartwell won't be too sad. But Mrs. Hartwell and the other teachers have some plans of their own. Once again Julie Danneberg and Judy Love bring to life the crazy antics of Mrs. Hartwell and her class. A fun, classroom storytime summer send off, or ideal teacher appreciation gift, Last Day Blues reminds everyone that teachers and students are more alike than we sometimes think. Review: Love this book - Perfect last day of school book. Review: Must Read - This is a great book for EVERY teacher to read. This is a great addition to The First Day Jitters. Remember to read this book on the last Monday of the school year. Your students will laugh all through the story. There will be a lot of side discussion about the illustrations too!

Love it!
I've read Julie Danneberg's "First Day Jitters" to my second graders on each first day and they loved it!. When I saw that Julie Danneberg had a "Last Day Blues" I was so excited! I bought it for my class this year. I think it is adorable! It really touches on the feelings students and teachers have at the end of the year in a light hearted way. Though I haven't read it to my students yet (I'm waiting for the end of the year), I know they will like it.

Perfect book for the last day of school.
This is the perfect companion to First Day Jitters. I have started the first day of school with the book for years. This book helps my year to come full circle. I can identify with Mrs. Hartwell. As exciting as the last day is, there is also a sadness for many teachers and students. This book helps me to communicate with my students that it is ok to be sad about the year ending. All of the books in this series really resonate with me as a teacher.

Fun for the last day!
This book is a great way to end the school year. We started the year with First Day Jitters and โJitter Juiceโ so this was the perfect follow up. To make it even more fun we had โBlues Juiceโ after reading it. I definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to start a fun tradition with their students.

Adorable
Such a cute and funny book to read on the last day of school. My kiddos loved it! I even had them sign the front cover as a memory of my first class!

Love it
Loved doing this book as a read aloud on the last day of school. It did make my students a little sad because they realized they would miss me, but overall a nice little book to wrap up the end of the school year.

Poor quality
The pages came stuck together all with a bar at the top of multicoloured ink (clearly a printing mistake) and one ripped page

Matches up nicely with First Day Jitters.
I read First Day Jitters on the first day of school and read Last Day Blues on the last day of school with my class. Used as a read aloud so the difficulty was fine for grade one students.
