I bought this book over a year ago when I was trying to figure a way to create my own practice. I had fear about doing this as a cash practice, but I was tired of working in a PT factory seeing a patient every 20-30min, having the insurance companies dictating what I can or can't do with my patients. I was burned out with the traditional PT clinics and I wanted freedom in my business and to offer my patients high value quality care and help them get back to life! This book helped me shift my mindset that a I wasn't selling PT anymore. I was offering them a transformation so that they could start enjoying their life and return to the things they love. This was a huge mindset shift. I started my practice here on Cape Cod Massachusetts in July 2020 in the height of Covid! This book gave me the confidence, steps and framework I needed to lay down a good foundation to get systems in place, learn about the proper permits/licenses/medicare etc along with marketing etc. The other thing that I struggled with in the beginning was when some asks that dreaded question:" Do you take my insurance?" Aaron gives you an amazing script to follow that really works. Since learning how to deal with these questions over the phone, my conversions have increased dramatically. I began research on opening my own PT private practice about six months ago. As an avid bookworm, I started by reading books. All the books. So many books.What stood out about this book:1) RELEVANCE- I am in my final semester of my DPT program and thinking about going straight into private practice. Most people think I am crazy. This author had a similar experience to me in that they had been a working professional in a similar field beforehand. They successfully started their cash practice immediately after graduating. The book was relatable to me from the start.2) COVERS THE BASICS- The book does a good job of going through the flow of events necessary to start running your practice. Not always as detailed as you may need, but that's the way with most books. You'll still have to do some homework.Weaknesses1) CORNY- The author is not Hemingway. The liberal use of cheesy business euphemisms is a bit much sometimes.2) THE UPSELL- This is a trend in PT books right now: the author always has a patented system they are selling throughout the book. It's like when you buy the free version of an app--you'll spend some time trying to ignore annoying pop up ads.Overall impression: if you're going to start a cash practice, this book would be in my top 5 recommended readings.

This book really helped give me the confidence to open up my own cash-based PT practice this year. I knew it was possible to be successful after reading this book. It gives great insight and tools for a solid business foundation, including practical examples, scripts, and templates. I reference this book often and continue to implement new things for growing my business. It's an awesome resource!

Interesting read and has a lot of good helpful points. Not very comprehensive and brief but was motivating and glad I read it. You get what you pay for.

This is absolutely a must have for any OT/PT/massage therapist who wants to or has already started their cash practice. This book has a wealth of information explained clearly and concisely. It is easy to read, understand and follow. I wish I had this information a few years ago when I fumbled around to find my way around. I have learnt so much and so much information was clarified for me even after I thought I had a good understanding of how things are run. Healthcare business has so much to it and is complicated. It is important to have CORRECT information/ guidance to make sure you CYA.

Most books give you a general outline/ideas which is cool, but Aaron give specific ‘here’s what to do/here’s what to say’ tips.The Online Marketing info alone is worth the price of the book.It’s a gold mine of practical ideas 👌🏻
