Its not heavy but theres more weight to it than I expected. It doesn't feel cheap at all. I'm less than impressed with the case it comes in. Some people said they have issues getting the umbrella back inside of it but I have no problem there. It goes back inside easily, tooeasily actually. I'm afraid it's going to just fall off and I'll lose it. The umbrella has a loop on the end of the handle which I love, but I wish the case did too. Or had some elastic inside the opening or something to secure it a little better. The handle of the umbrella also seems a little short. I expected the handle to extend a little more but it doesn't. At all. In the picture, my head is actually touching the top of the umbrella and it feels like im holding my hand up really high. Otherwise the size is perfect. The actual umbrella part is even bigger than I expected and should keep me dry no problem, even with my backpack on. It just came today so I haven't gotten to try it out yet. Warning: the 1st time you open it, be prepared because it opened so fast and with so much force that it startled me lol.
