Great product for the price
Want an elliptical without spending a fortune? This is worth considering. It is sturdy, surprisingly so, and looks like it will last a typical home user for many years. It is quiet enough that it won't disturb other people in the house, even if you use it in the early morning. The LCD display is pretty basic, but is adequate and provides you with the most important information about your workout. People were saying that this could be put together in 45 minutes. Either some reviewers are lying, or I am really slow. Sunny does recommend two people put this together, and I did it by myself. I think if I were to put it together again, or I was someone who put these together for a living, it might taKE 45 minutes. It took me about 2 hours. Granted, I took my time, but you still need to identify parts and figure out where they go. The bolts and washers are attached to a plastic covered piece of cardboard, making that part easy, but some of the diagrams could be better, and if the individual components were labeled with stick-on tags, you might actually be able to finish in 45 minutes. Still, I have to say that the assembly was a lot easier than putting together a table from Ikea. Sunny has done a pretty good job of making sure the average person could put this together properly. Don't be put off by the task. After putting it together, I discovered that I was missing one of the trim pieces. I contacted Sunny online and left a message. To their credit, they responded and arranged to ship out the part, at no cost to me, within 24 hours of my message. Very good customer support. Bottom line: I am very pleased with this machine and would recommend anyone looking for an elliptical, consider this one. Update: I've been using this pretty much daily now, for 5 months and it still works great. It did develop a squeak where the right foot rest attaches to the machine. Tightening the bolts didn't make much difference. A simple fix was to remove the foot rest and put a strip of duct tape along the rail to keep the foot rest from rubbing against the metal rail. Then reinstalled the foot rest and the squeak is gone. It's whisper quiet again.

5 stars after 2 years+ of use
I wanted to wait for the test of time to write a review and this one is worth it! I bought this elliptical in November 2020 and it has been a lifesaver during the pandemic and beyond. It came really quickly when other workout equipment were backlogged. I've used it 2 to 4 times a week for about 45-60 minutes each time for the last 2 years and it's still going as strong as day one. Very smooth and quiet operation. It's a comfortable stride (I'm 5'4") and the heart rate monitor is pretty accurate based on the smart watch I also use. Love the many different programs for working out to mix things up. I also set my own pace and resistance level when the mood strikes. I like it as much as the cardio equipment that were in my membership gym (though for about 1/8 the price, and of course not as heavy/sturdy feeling but that's to be expected). Assembly took more like 2 hours rather than one, but well worth it for the hundreds of hours of use. Does a great job of getting my heart rate up and giving me a sweaty workout. I'm in my 40s and after more than 2 years, am amazingly still injury-free from the repetitive motion. Just pop in my headphones and zone out for a while each week. Definitely 5 stars. Update Dec. 2023: okay, I now hear the loud clicking noise that other reviews talk about. It's very, very loud. I've tightened all screws and even took some things apart and retightened. No success. The noise is constant and could wake the dead. Seems to otherwise work fine but I have to retire this thing or risk suffer hearing loss. But I figured I've used it over 300 hours over the 3 years I've had it, so that comes out to less than $2/hour of use. Not bad, so I'll leave the 5 stars.

Manufacturer Support is non-existent, but once you get a working machine it's fantastic
The first elliptical that came in the mail had issues, and given the differences in packaging compared to the second I believe I was sent one that had been previously returned. There were stripped screws, parts that took a lot of oomph to fit, and the biggest flaw was the preassembled mainframe was broken. There was little to no resistance when turning the pedals, and when the pedals reached a certain part there was a very loud clanking noise like some parts were hitting each other. You could feel this, and it would often completely stop movement. It was unusable. In big bold letter on the manual SUNNY requests that you do not return items and contact them first, but I advise that if you have problems you ignore this and contact Amazon. Their phone number was always busy and impossible to get through, and when I sent in an email support request the auto response informed me to expect to wait 7-14 business days for each reply. For email responses. Absolutely ridiculous. I waited a few days and contacted Amazon support, who also tried to get in contact with the manufacturer with no success. I was shipped a replacement and had to send the other one back. The replacement was perfect. No issues in parts, no weird cramming having to be done, no stripped screws. And the mainframe has proper resistance and is completely silent. It was significantly better packed for shipping as well. I am now using my very quiet, very very sturdy, nice elliptical machine and am very happy, and still have yet to get a response from my initial support request from the manufacturer. My advice - if it's not perfect, contact Amazon and send it back. If the manufacturer cares about losing money from returns of faulty machines, they should hire better support so there are not ridiculous wait times, and maybe not send previously returned merchandise as new. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 because of the support issues, the machine itself is perfect. :)

Faulty wiring? Bad odometer/speedometer sensor?
I think the elliptical itself is probably really good. The computer, on the other hand, seems to have issues. I can turn the computer on and get started in a workout, but after 4 minutes, it shuts off. 4 minutes is also the time that it takes to turn off when it doesn't receive any input. I believe it's not receiving any feedback from the wheel, which is strange because if I turn up the difficulty, it works fine. But the speedometer and odometer do not change at all, which tells me that there's probably a loose return wire. I'm decent with electronics, but not great. I checked all the connections and even opened up the computer to make sure there wasn't any damage in there. From what I can tell, all connections look fine. I'll be emailing support and probably opening up the wheel to see if the sensor is bad. I'm hoping it's just a loose connection. This thing will be a pain to ship back, so I don't want to resort to that unless absolutely necessary. As for assembly, I would give it a 7/10. It was pretty easy. The instructions probably could have had more than 7 steps. It would have helped if each step was broken into smaller pieces. It took my wife and I about an hour and a half. Build quality (other than the wiring issues) - 6/10. There's a lot of cheap (VERY cheap) plastic, but only on parts that don't matter such as plastic covers. The elliptical does not depend on these cheap parts to function. The enclosure to the computer could have been made with nicer plastic though. As for the non-plastic pieces, I think they're totally fine. Other reviewers complain about noise, but ours is nice and quiet. Perhaps it'll need more grease at some point. It would be nice if the stabilizers had a wider stance. The elliptical feels like it could tip over while in-use. We're on carpet right now, so that might be the issue. Hopefully I'll be updating this to a 3 or 4 star in the near future (that'll be up to customer support..)

Not a clothing rack !
I put this together at my leisure, but I did it myself and I am 68 years old so any issues were just my own dexterity and dropping the Allen key 100 times other than that they went together perfectly no parts were unmanageable for one person, two people yes they would’ve went together easier as to say goes as many hands make late work, but I didn’t have that choice. It moves smoothly and it makes me so happy when I get on it the elliptical was one of my favorite equipment to use in the gym and I got this one for a great price and I’m very happy with it and I love the programmable workout choices I was blessed to have my mother till the age of 93 so I’m going to honor her by keep moving like she did. She walked into her 90s on her own 2 feet and even she had an elliptical stepper machine so it’s something I look forward to doing every day because you have to move so even if I only do the elliptical in a day where I felt sitting might take over then I’ve met my goal :)

Received a unit with a defect and customer service and technical support were not helpful.
Purchased SF-E3912. Assemble on arrival and had an E1 error on the computer. Followed the trouble shooting guide with no success. Contacted CS, but it was closed. Send an e-mail per CS instructions. Received an e-mail the following work day with instructions to try to find the problem. Required disassembly almost down to the frame. Assembly was not as easy as advertised, disassembly was worse as there were no specific instructions. Found the issue, a faulty cable that I was able to fix, but no thanks to customer service who refused to allow me to talk directly to a tech. In all, 7 hours to get it assembled then disassembled and fixed. Note, it was a slightly bent pin on one of the connectors I found luckily because I have a good voltage meter. It otherwise would have been returned in parts for refund and a bill for the labor. After getting it working, it works very well, runs smooth and easy to use, but can't recommend due to the poor quality of the electrical parts and inadequate cooperation with Customer Service and Technical Support. While that was a total pain, it could have been my fault. We have now used for over 2 years and it's been working great and it's used by both my wife and me almost daily. Like the very smooth action and very good workou.

Wanted to love this!
Squeaks a lot! I have posted a video of this. It started to squeak within 4 minutes of using this. And the higher the tension, the more it squeaks. I have tried loosening the bolts, tightening the bolts, greasing the bolts and nothing works. It is so loud and annoying I really just stop using it sooner than I want because I can't listen to it anymore. It does not squeak if you just move the handles, and you aren't on it. It does not squeak when you go backwards, just forward for some reason. I am only 150 lbs so it isn't that I am too big for it. I can't imagine what it would sound like if I were bigger or for a man using this. Also, I do not like that when my feet are all the way forward, my arms barely can hold the swing out of the arms. It really was not made for small arm span (I am 5'2") My old elliptical, I had for 20 years (different brand, no longer make it) and it started to make noises because parts were falling off, I used it so much. So, I searched for a new one. I wanted one that had pre-programmed workouts, which was the only reason I stupidly ignored the reviews about it making noise. I was hopeful it was not going to be mine but like I said it was immediate. I have reached out to customer service, but I won't hold my breath on getting contacted nor getting the problem resolved. Not sure what to do now. Will update review if they contact me and fix the issue. I will say watch the assembly video in the posting (with your booklet out for review) to put this together. That video made it super easy. I did it all by myself and it probably took about an hour and a half. Wish the thing didn't squeak because otherwise I love this machine!! Unfortunately, it might have to go to the trash and wasted my money.

Exactly what I was looking for.
This is a great machine as long as you purchase it with the knowledge that it’s not gym quality. It’s perfect for my needs because it fits in a small space, has a good price, and has basic metrics like time, calories, distance, and resistance. Those are the only things I really care about. I think the smart version comes with more though. I do wish it had a built in fan, but it’s fine because I just use a clip on battery fan. I opted for in house assembly. It took 2 guys about an hour and 20 minutes start to finish. There is a bit of a creaking noise and it’s wobbly but that will probably be any elliptical at this price point. It still feels very sturdy even though it wobbles a bit. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Better than expected!!! :)
I was very unsure of the quality purchasing an elliptical off Amazon without trying it out in person. I read the reviews and was pretty satisfied with what I read. So i went for it and bought it. Shipping took a bit longer as they were out of stock however, I was shortly notified via email once stock was in. Set up was a bit difficult but luckily for me my boyfriend set the machine up just under 2 hours. The instructions were good and straight forward to assemble. As for the machine, the elliptical works great- gym quality. It's sturdy, smooth and quiet. I definitely recommend buying one if you're in the market!

Muy util!
Por el precio es muy buena opcion en elipticas. Sencilla pero con suficientes atributos para ejercitarse en casa. Muy buena relacion de costo/beneficio.

Aguantadora y a buen precio
Es buena y resistente, la pantalla es suficiente para poder conocer el avance que llevas. Considerar que la información desplegada en la pantalla es en unidades imperiales no en modo métrico y de acuerdo al service support no hay como modificar esto.

Time-Consuming Assembly but Sturdy and Reliable Performance
The Sunny Health & Fitness Advanced Programmed Elliptical Machine was a bit time-consuming to assemble but has so far (only one day) been a sturdy and easy-to-use piece of equipment. I encountered an E1 error during initial use, but it was resolved by fixing a bent pin. I noticed the bent pin during assembly but didn't realize what I was looking at. I just figured the middle pin was supposed to be bent slightly downward. It was only after putting it entirely together and getting the error that it dawned on me what I had seen. This problem also seems to be a somewhat uncommon, but occurring, issue among other users in the reviews. I also noticed that one of the screws has a missing chunk out of its head, but it screwed in fine and seems to be holding. Despite the initial E1 hiccup, my mom is very pleased with the machine, and I expect it will continue to perform well in the long term. I will update this review in half a year to provide an update on its durability.

Great home workout machine
*Update* it did start to squeak after about a month of use, but after tightening the screws at the base of the control arm it was fine again! I had no issues assembling the machine by myself, the instructions look overwhelming but was easy to put together. You will need help to move it though. I had to help the delivery person bring into my house which wasn't expected. I had no issues with parts or alignment as some reviews suggest and there was lots of grease on the parts so I don't anticipate squeaking and have had no issues yet. Stride is a bit short and display screen is VERY basic but for the price it's a great machine and a great workout. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase.
