These take my zippo lighter fluid refills from lasting 3 days-ish to lasting roughly a week. They nearly double the fuel lifespan inside my zippo insert, maybe a smidge longer if I’m not lighting too often to use up the fuel. These stick in pretty firm once you install them and I haven’t had any problems with leakage either, just be sure you aren’t over filling your lighter. These even help a bit with loose insert creep, although nothing beats a perfect insert fit, these do help a little. Overall these are a no brainer buy if you prefer a soft flame and the original zippo insert. Sure a sealed insert with a wick cap would be best for fuel evaporation, but this isn’t a bad inexpensive alternative either.

The quality is great, but I had to knock off a star because the fuel still evaporates within a week or two of non consistent use. If you need your Zippo to hold fluid for a long time, buy a butane insert.

These little rubber seals work extremely well. The lighter lasts maybe 3-5 times longer than if it had the regular felt pad on the bottom. You have to be careful not to overfill it however because the only place it can leak out from is the top wick. I wouldn’t fill it more than 8ml or so just to be safe. Great product. I can’t believe it isn’t more popular. Update: as I was opening the bottom to refill and take a picture of the cotton inside, the lid broke off. It still works fine but it is no longer physically attached to the hinge. Not sure if the lighter fluid deteriorates the rubber but still a good product. The lid still seals the bottom. If it starts leaking I will replace it. These are the real deal gaskets. I recently bought another brand that had a ten pack because they were cheep. They were not totally sealed up because they were the wrong size. They shrunk up and became hard and fit even worse. These are a bit more expensive but they are worth the money. The rubber will not shrink and fits perfectly. I will buy this brand every time!

UPDATE Nov 2025. After a little over a year, the hinge on the fill cover broke. It still seems to seal well. I refill it quite often, so I won’t gig the product. It did survive over a year of constant opening/closing…and I bought the 5-pack. I’m still happy with it. I am one of many who has had chemical burns on my legs from leaky lighter fluid, so I decided to give one of these gaskets a try. Gosh...I wish I had done this sooner. It has worked brilliantly so far. No leaking, much longer periods in between refueling, and I can even carry a spare flint under the fill cap. I was having to fill my lighter after every 4-5 days or so, now I can go over a week and it still lights the first time. Clearly, the gasket has helped prevent fuel evaporation. While the gasket did not sit flush with the edge of the lighter core bottom, I figured out that it was likely by design, as the lighter body still had no problem sliding into it's casing. I've seen some reviews where folks have mentioned trimming the edge of the gasket, but I would avoid that unless you absolutely cannot get the body to slide into the casing. The only concern I had was the small size of the fill hole on the bottom, but that concern has vanished now after a few fillings. Don't hesitate...this is a great upgrade for any normal-size Zippo.

Fits well, looks good. Didn't really notice a difference in fuel retention.

Doesn’t work

Put one on a zippo and left another zippo as per how they come from factory. Filled both and both were empty by the end of a month. If it makes a difference I did not notice it.

Received in good condition good for the nrmal size lighter of this type , but wold like they will have for slim lighter too my favourite is slim zippo.

Cheap garbage. Might aswell have thrown my money in the wind. Made from the wrong kind of rubber. Srinks and go's stiff. DOES NOT SEAL !
