Beautiful colour and coloursafe in the wash!

Ribbed soft pink blanket. Fits perfectly over king sized duvet and has worn well on our sofa to protect against the cat.

This is a very lightweight blanket, suitable for relaxing under on the sofa or for extra warmth on a double bed.There is so little weight that it is easy just to throw over yourself and forget it's there. It is quite comfortable, having a very soft feel, though it does feel somewhat synthetic directly on the skin. One side is fluffier, the other has shorter fibres, the latter being more comfortable.I noticed it was very easy to cause fibres to detach and may thin in the wash. If you are ecologically conscious, you might want to take note that it is 100% polyester and that you will potentially be adding plastic microfibres to the water cycle.The colour is a light blue, that they call 'denim' and I suppose, it is reminiscent of stonewash jeans.

This Silentnight Jumbo Cord Throw/Blanket, feels better than it looks and that is saying something.The Denim colour is more of a light blue grey to my eye though. You can get threeother colours which may be a bonus if your kids and you have one each not to get them mixed up.It's a big 150 x 200 cm in size so will fit on top of a double or single bed well.In an armchair or on a couch it is fabulous.I'd take this on any long car, train or coach journeys.Take care to wash it on a low setting and clean up of tackle any stains marks and whatever as soon as possible.I especially like the jumbo cord design and feel and think the large cord will help you not to overheat. Brilliant for cool Summer Evenings outside and cold winter's days indoors.

Why is it I'm saying this? Mainly because the way the blanket is constructed means there are small rows of exposed fabric in between the far softer main rows (see photo). These small rows are rough to the touch, and while most people may not notice this, those with sensitive skin may quickly become uncomfortable or annoyed by having numerous rough areas of blanket rubbing on them.That's the only real complaint I have with the blanket. It is moderate to light levels of thickness and a good size for wrapping oneself up in. The edges are decoratively wavy. It doesn't take up too much room when rolled or folded up.

This is a soft and warm throw/blanket, which is approximately the same size as a single bed (150cm x 200cm). This would make a good, extra layer, in very cold weather or, indeed, a nice, cosy blanket to throw on the sofa. The colour is a dusky pink and is made out of 100% polyster. I am not too fond of the colour, but my daughter likes it and has appropriated it for her room. She says it is lovely and soft, which it is.Lightweight, and yet warm, this can be machine washed and is easy to clean. Overall, the quality is nice and it is certainly very soft and comfortable.

How peoples’ tastes differ... In complete contrast to the view of another reviewer, this was much nicer than I anticipated! The colour is a soft, neutral-ish coral pink, so it’s easy to co-ordinate with most things. And yes, it is a very soft, fleecy jumbo cord fabric, but none the worse for that.I like it, my wife likes it, and neither of us get a look at it, because it was swiftly confiscated by my 12-year-old daughter for her room!It feels durable, cosy, soft and good value. Very happy with it.

We have lots of similar blanket throws around the house but at 2m in length this is the longest which is great for me as I’m fairly tall and it’s ideal for wrapping yourself with on the sofa as summer comes to an end. It’s a fleece type 100% polyester material. One side is ribbed and the other smooth. The colour is described as denim which is essentially a light pale blue although there’s a bit of darker shimmer if you disturb the ribbing. This is all you could want in a blanket throw - decent quality, cozy and more importantly nice and long!
