Great gift!
Bought this as a Christmas present for three kids under the age of 12. They love it! My only comment would be to make the mat a bit heavier since leaning on it can cause the checkers to move and slide.

Torn apart through regular play
The Mat is not built for regular usage, and once the there is no way to fix the material once it starts to tear.
