HOMCOM 2-Stage 5 CFM Rotary Vane 1/2 HP HVAC Refrigerant Handheld Vacuum Pump

The pump itself works great but the instructions really suck as they are written by a Chinese person therefore confusing and hard to understand. Is it too much trouble for them to have it written in readable English? For the pump- There is only a Max" and "Min" indication for the oil level, nothing to delineate the exact level for the oil during use-set the level in the center to be safe. It calls for 330 ml of oil, the two bottles of oil included are not marked as to the amount in each bottle- you have to guess how much to put in the pump, both bottles or only one or ?, don't overfill it.. It doesn't tell you to twist off the large black exhaust cap when putting the oil in otherwise you flood the motor. On the plus side, it works fine after some trial and error with the instructions and pulls a respectable 29 inches if vacuum rather quickly. The con is having to read and reread the instructions carefully and decipher them to English.

I use this pump for organic chemistry related extractions and synthesis. This pump is perfect for filtering. 1/2 hp is all you need to create anything from a simple vacuum to a tesla coil. I use this pump with size 44/40 glass. This pump does come with two bottles of oil, one bottle to fill it to the recommended oil level and an extra bottle for later use. It is a heavy duty pump, so if using for science purposes or anything really. I would buy a set of hoffman clamps to control the pressure. Built to last. Weighs about a good 5 pounds and is perfect for any use! Highly recommend to anyone!

Nice pump, sucks better than any other I've used. Had to use a adapter from the 3/8" port to open my gauge hose and it seemed to run a bit hot but it caused no problems for me.

Didn't work after a few months of regular standard use.

The Vacuum Pump that I received does not pull a vacuum AT ALL. It blows air instead of sucking and somehow still spits oil everywhere, out of the “exhaust” port.

I used this to vacuum several split home systems. It was able to get to 200 microns. Arrived well packaged and worked right out of the box.

It worked did a fair job but quit working after the 4th time of use

Just received my 5 CFM pump. It works great, just what I needed for pulling a vacuum to collect water samples.
