Scholastic Reader Level 1: I Spy an Apple Paperback – July 1, 2011

My grandson loved this book from the moment I first gave it to him. At three years old, he has learned to read with the help of this book.He loves the game of searching for missing items. Given a small looking glass, he checks out all the details of every picture. After this, he goes over the words on the pages and the clues of finding rhyming words, etc.It's one of the few books out of hundreds I have for him that he requests over and over again!

The children for whom I purchased the five "I Spy..." books absolutely Loved them! Keeps them occupied and out of their Mom's way long enough for her to get various tasks done. They share and go back to these books periodically to repeat the fun of finding the items on the pages.

Ok, I had a tough time rating this item and was torn between a three and a four star rating. I didn't get an acurate assessment before I purchased the book and so when it showed up I found myself quite dissapointed.(until I saw that I had only paid $4.00) Understand that this "Book" is more like a magazine or a pamphlet. The photography is good and the content will meet your expectations but it will not get passed down to the grandkids one day. The book is about ten or so scenarios where you have to find things and the whole book is about half as thick as a magazine. With that said....My two year old has spent a lot of time reading this book and got well over $4.00 worth already.

The price was just right. Ordered this for my niece. She's 3! She loves this book. I decided to order more from the series.

My nephew loves these books lately. We now have several in our house for him when he comes over.
