Fresh Breath Mouthwash

I typically hate mouthwash, I would avoid using most because I hated the burning feeling while swishing for a full minute. After a not so great dental check up, I was recommended to try Closys. I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried this, absolutely no burning and a light flavor. It was so gentle that I didn't think it was doing much of anything til I realized after a week of using it I didn't have the plaque buildup I usually have with just brushing alone. My gums were also looking healthier and less inflamed. I also like that I only have to swish the mouthwash for 30-45 seconds instead of a full minute (yes, for some reason the 15-30 seconds makes a difference lol). The only thing I'm not crazy about is how it makes anything I eat afterwards for the next few hours have a weird taste but otherwise this is a great mouthwash and my mouth has never felt cleaner.

My hygienist recommended this mouthwash and I am wishing I'd found it sooner. I have mild gum disease and have lost a few teeth due to my struggle with bad genetics and my anxiety about dentists. My dental hygiene habits suffered over the years as a result. The harsh mouthwashes like Listerine and some of the others were burning my mouth and when I'd use it at night they'd make the skin around my mouth break out and the corners of my lips were cracking. I just never felt like they really got my mouth as clean because by morning I'd have even worse breath and felt like I'd been chewing on batteries all night. So, I did not use mouth wash as frequently as I should have and you can guess the rest of it. Did you know brushing only cleans about a quarter of your mouth?? I have 4 crowns in my mouth and it can be a real pain to really feel like I've gotten in there and handled business. CloSYS makes my mouth feel cleaner, for longer. I am not seeing the tartar and plaque build-up creep up as quickly and when I use this religiously at night and in the morning I rarely experience the bad breath I did using Listerine. YES, it does have a slight chlorine-odor/taste to it but once it gets in your mouth and you're swishing it around, it diminishes right away. It feels like cool water with a hint of mint. That taste does not linger. I felt like I'd just gently rinsed with water, only my mouth was SO clean and stayed clean for hours. It may not cure cavities as some of the other reviews on here are saying but it will definitely put a big dent in the amount of bacteria and build-up forming in your mouth. There is a more mild version than this (but I doubt you'll need it) and the senior version which I bought for my parents (and they love!). Long story short-- if you hate mouthwash and avoid it, try this instead. It is so gentle and works so much better.

For over 40 years I’ve been dealing with sensitive and bleeding gums, which plagued multiple generations of my family. As a result, it’s been necessary for me to have 3 dental cleanings annually for the past decade. During my cleaning and exam 3 months ago, both the dentist and hygienist were alarmed at how bad my gums were bleeding and receding; they feared I was rapidly approaching the point of no return. First I invested in a rechargeable Waterpik water flosser and began using it daily. Then a couple of months ago, I saw an ad on TV for CloSYS oral rinse and immediately did some research to determine if it lived up to the claims. Based on the wealth of positive reviews, I decided to give it a try and have used it twice a day for the past 2 months as instructed. Next, I purchased the Oral B/Braun Pro-1000 cross-action electric toothbrush, based on several reviews from dental hygienists and began using that twice daily, alternating with my Sonicare DiamondClean. Normally I dread my dental visits due to my gum issues, however I was anxious to find out if any of the new regimen was making a difference. Well I’m happy to report that today’s dental visit was the easiest almost relaxed cleaning I’ve had in many years. The dentist and hygienist were amazed at the progress; no bleeding or receding gums and minimal plaque! They commended my efforts and said to continue the newly developed regimen. If the next 1-2 visits show the same results, I should be able to cut back to semi-annual cleanings; that’ll save me over $100 per year, since insurance only covers 2 cleaning ps annually. I give credit equally to all 3 products that helped greatly improve my dental health: CloSYS, Waterpik water flosser and Oral B Pro-100 cross action electric toothbrush. The CloSYS sensitive oral rinse has a mild and refreshing mint flavor; not strong or overpowering. I’ve not detected any chemicals taste and am on my second bottle. The first bottle lasted about one week short of two months, based on using the product as directed twice daily. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with gum issues, as it really does work as advertised and disclosed by many other reviews.

I used this mouthwash as from a online review reading it falling into one of the categories (not the best but one of the few runner ups) of natural mouthwashes/no fluoride ones/least amount of ingredients it had. The mouthwash will say, first off, it does have a bit of a horrible smell when opened in the cap or top of the bottle. Like smelling as if your in the dentist place smell or of old toothbrush smell/left over tooth brush that hasn’t been washed with water or when you pick your teeth with fingernails and notice the nasty smell. Or as if when it’s time to brush the teeth. Did notice doesn’t have much ingredients; so kudos for this looking for a mouthwash that isn’t damaging or dangerous whatsoever. Although looking it in the reversible way, may be not as strong in keeping teeth in top shape to get areas that brushing may not get and maybe even in flossing/water-flossing. After using it like 1/3 or half way of the bottle did notice my breath (or no breath hehehe) or feel of the tongue as having no breath or taste whatsoever that may indicate bad breath. So this is a good/great to an okay/fine mouthwash to use. In how it overall does help in breath control and keepin’ it in top shape in that area, along with not having sensitivity or waking up with a dry month/tongue which is great (noticed if from this mouthwash unlike some others). Although it may not support in teeth strength in the enamel or cavities areas as much as in other mouthwashes. Then again may not be needed as proper brushing and flossing of any type is great, if not the best, if done daily at least once a day (night). Along with bad breath if proper tongue “brushing” is used to get the white gunk/germs out from digesting food particles in mouth/tongue mainly. So may try this again sometime later after trying another again. Value is good in a big bottle 32 ounces lasts a while; but may be only for people with bad breath/only focus or target in breath areas of the mouth maintenance. With how it may not be a good value as only is for breath control. In how it may not be good or overlooked for other mouthwashes for a stronger defense or offensive whatever you may called it. All depends on what someone is lookin’ for in a mouthwash. One last small thing I did notice; in how this mouthwash is *ADA* certified ONLY for BAD BREATH tho, but does fully work in that areas. In no wander they got a seal of appeal from the American Dental Association. Mentioning for those that may care about small details.

The mouthwash itself is 10/10. Gentle, effective, no alcohol burn. I go through 2 bottles a month and have been using it for years. But the ‘safety’ seal when you open a new bottle is nearly impenetrable. I literally have to use a screw driver to get through the seal. PITA. Otherwise no complaints.

The product I believe is effective in maintaining fresh breathe. This is the opinion and factual observation of the buyer (myself). I have ordered mint before some another company but this one does not have sucrose which I believe I prefer. If someone wants a flavoured one they can add their own preferred mouthwash. Over all, I would recommend this. I heard this from a Dentist mentioning in TikTok. With flossing and CloSYS, your mouth will feel so clean and fresh. I visited my Dental Hygienist yesterday and she said my teeth and gums are healthy.

I think this is the best mouthwash available. It really kills the bacteria in your mouth. I use an oral probiotic with it and I wake up with my mouth feeling clean. I highly recommend this.
