It's like a google home hub crossed with a traditional phone
I rarely write reviews, but have been super happy with this phone, i'm using it for so much more then a phone. On a whim I decided to sign up for a SIP account and added a dedicated line in my office. When it came to getting a phone, I was mainly looking for something that would look good on my desk - did some quick research and this fit the bill.My Use Case:I have this phone on my desk under my main computer monitor - it's become a second monitor for me. In the morning I typically use the phone to launch plex and put on the news (which I keep on throughout the day). I have this setup so i get calls from my iPhone via Bluetooth along with the SIP line - it's pretty awesome being able to pick up the corded phone to answer the iphone. My favorite apps have been Plex, Zoom (VIDEO Meetings work flawlessly using Zoom), YouTube, and my home security cameras via the Synology DS Cam App. Google Calendar also works great - have it open throughout the day and get notifications, dial in numbers do not work via the phone dialer, BUT zoom meeting links do which is great. I've yet to try google hangouts, I often use that as well. I also use home automation on this, has been great to control everything via my home assistant dashboard. Last thing - the apps automatically close when a call come in which is great (I had very low expectations for this phone).POE+ / LLDP:I have an aruba switch at home, got to try LLDP for the first time. Initially I could not get POE+ to work without the phone rebooting - the phone has a high power draw (so high there is a warning when you power on with POE about certain features being disabled), but got it tweaked on a dedicated port and it's working flawlessly. Also tried Wifi via the power adapter, works very well.Aesthetics:Looks great on my desk, has a very high quality build, look and feel to the phone. The headset is weighty, has an executive feel to it, does not feel like a plasticky phone.Phone/Voice Quality:The voice quality is good, it supports all of the newest SIP protocols supported by my provider. Took about 5 minutes to connect. I was expecting amazing speakerphone capabilities, but everyone i've asked has said the quality isn't amazing (one person said I sounded like I was in an echoy bathroom). Handset quality is solid.Final Thoughts:Overall as others have mentioned the phone is not always the most responsive, you can click things and it's either lagged, or app buttons towards the bottom edge of the screen can be difficult to press. I've had many apps not work (can't install) or crash, but the main ones I use have been rock solid. Hoping they push a more recent android OS upgrade in the future - the phone as is has changed my daily work flow and has created an extremely useful. It's like having a mini tv or another monitor on your desk (in addition to a phone).

Excellent. Exceeded expectations.
As long as you know how to set up your SIP service, and can change the Audio Codec to 722, sound quality is excellent. Responsive to phone calls is also immediate. Camera latency is not noticeable at all. Also Installed Microsoft Teams, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Zoom, and Google Duo to make video calls. Installed Outlook so I could access meeting links as well. The form factor, build quality, and high quality phone experience make this an excellent business phone, even without the video features. But factoring those in, it’s a killer product and worth the money. IF you’re tech saavy enough to configure it right.

The best IP Phone
This new model is amazing, the best graphic interface, faster (the previews version used to be a little slow), good quality and supported by one of the biggest ip companies in the market: Grandstream

This Phone is a Beast!
Grandstream's latest flagship model gives you a reason to get excited about desktop phones again. It has a sleek design and features an Intel quad-core Z8350 processor with 2GB of RAM that can handle anything you throw at it. In testing, it had no difficulty decoding any media type including 4k video. Impressive! The large IPS screen has an excellent contrast ratio of 1300:1 and is great for running your Andorid apps. It's essentially a hybrid of a desk phone and tablet.Once I installed the Google Play Store, I had no trouble running Duo, Voice, and the Nest Cam app. to monitor my security cameras. I was able to pair my cellphone via Bluetooth (in handsfree mode--the Grandstream acts as a PC) and can make and receive calls from it while it's charging in the other room. Slick! My Bluetooth headset works too (with handsfree mode off). VoIP wise, it worked properly with the providers I tried--voip.ms and CallCentric--as well as my ATA tying it into a landline via an FXO port.I was able to test the G.722 and Opus HD Voice codecs too and they definitely sound better than standard telephone audio, though not quite up to the latest VoIP standards. While the speakers and mics have a wide frequency response, the phone's SIP Invite artificially limits audio to Wide-Band mode only (16 kHz sampling rate). Super Wide-Band and Full-Band (48 kHz) aren't implemented, despite what the description says. I hope Grandstream will consider adding these modes with a firmware update, as the hardware supports them and they're becoming common on the latest softphones. The handset mic is a bit sensitive to plosives (i.e. wind-noise), so it's best to not hold it directly on your mouth when speaking. The ergonomics, however, are great: The handset has a nice weight and balance to it and the cord has a good length. It definitely has an executive class feel. The speakerphone works well, too.A year after its release, there are still a few minor firmware glitches, but nothing that prevents the phone from fulfilling its daily duties. I highly recommend it if you're in the market for a high-end VoIP desktop model. It's sure to impress!
