Guitar Stand that is more like a Cradle for you Guitar. A Cradle for your Baby!
Outstanding stand. Cradles the instrument, very stable with four feet, not three like a tripod. I chose this design over the many similar ones because the feet elevate the instrument off the floor a bit. Folded, it's tiny. Believe it or not, it does fit my tiny soprano Uke, but also my monster Yamaha dreadnaught. I have two of these now, and my other stand is similar, a plastic cradle by Hola. These Certain Way stands support my Cordoba La Playa steel string and my Yamaha F335. The Hola my Recording King Parlor. All three guitars are displayed beautifully in these stands, the guitars standing up apparently on their own without any metal around it. I can nudge or bump these stands and all that happens is the instrument rocks around a little bit, but nothing gets knocked over. Unbeatable at this price. This is about the same weight as my Hola, but more solid, less fexible. I give four stars on the stand alone but added the fifth star because of Certain Way customer service, which is tops. I might order a third one; even though I do not need a stand for my uke, it would be cool to see all four instruments line up here in my den, a panorama in 22 strings. Two months later: I now protect my guitar even more by putting it in this stand backwards; it rests against the pad only touching the strings and anything that might fly or touch guitar will not damage the top. Thank you Jim Greeninger for that tip.

Measure twice, but afterward buy without hesitation
The never-ending hunt of the freelance musician....getting in and out of the gig in one trip, without hurting your back or knocking things over. I'm an electric bass player, and for the last few years I've given up even using a stand in the pursuit of this goal. I bought this one on an impulse, and while I'm still in the honeymoon stage, I have to say that I'm very impressed.Everything you read in the marketing materials and see on the video proves true. You'll smile at the light weight, and you'll giggle at the size when folded. Very easy to add this to the arsenal. On stage, it seems more than sturdy enough for the task. If you're considering a stand like this, you know it's a compromise, so we don't need to spend much time there. Will it hold like a full-length tripod-based stand? Of course not. Is it better than leaning your axe against your amp? Absolutely.I've used this with Fender-esque bass body shapes, with the heaviest instrument being a tad over nine pounds. I've tested my Roscoe Guitars six-string bass at home, and it seems just fine with it as well. As long as you don't have an exotic body shape, or something with a dramatic curve behind the bridge, I think this stand will do the trick. My basis for comparison is the Hercules GS402BB. This one seems almost as secure, but it wins hands-down when it comes to weight and convenience.Again - not to beat the issue mercilessly - measure your expectations. If convenience trumps security, but you want something better than leaning-and-hoping, I think you'll be very happy with this product.

Even better than before!!!
I am writing a new review for the updated version of this stand (which includes a very nice capo). There have been some significant improvments to the original design (which I also own and use). The construction is now almost all metal and the tightness of the way the parts fit feels more secure in my opinion over the original model which was still very good. This has a very solid feel and is well made and machined. Also, the padded arms the hold the face of the instrument are longer then they were which is a good thing. The original were a bit low and this improvement helps to keep the instrument from tipping forward without being so large as to be in the way. I use this stand for a variety of stringed instruments- full sized AND thInline classical guitars, ukulele, mandolin, Steel String and electric guitars. This is the only stand I have found that can accommodate all those instruments and keep them stable- that is very useful. The size is adjustable to custom fit the instrument. This is the only stand I have seen that will do that!I'm not a frequent capo user but on occasion, they are essential to keeping a certain chord voicing in another key. This is a quality capo, all metal construction with a wide rubber plate that will handle classical necks and 12strings. That is a big perc. It can also be placed and removed with one hand. In all, this is a great deal for very useful and well made products. Nice job!

Certain Way Guitar Stand
I purchased this guitar stand because it looked nice in the Amszon pictures and the description of the stand. The unit is really constructed with aluminum and plastic parts for the legs and guitar supports with rubber pads to keep the guitar from sliding and potentially falling. It appears sturdy at the present and I had only started using it and not enough time to attest to its durability and sturdiness as an acoustic and electric guitar stand. It's easy to carry around because once folded becomes very short and compact making it easy to put in my backpack. After a few weeks since opening the box and started using the stand I consider the compactness of this unit as the main attribute of this guitar. I get slightly concern about the shortness of the stand and the non locking legs because being small my full size acoustic electric guitar on an uneven surface of the church floor may suddenly start sliding inward or roll backward from the weight of the guitar neck vs the uneven floor. But so far I've been using both at home and church and it's doing its job as a guitar stand. But I'm real careful when I place it on a bad uneven floor.

Works well with short scale bass
Works well with my Squier Jaguar bass.Though I've only used it at one gig, at the house I can tell it is an effective design. If you know the shape of the Jaguar you know that the bottom is not even like a P-bass. Because the bottom has a sweeping curve I was not sure that an open stand would work. It does. The serrated edge of the rubbery base catches and grips this short scale bass. What a relief.Had grown weary of packing a heavy guitar stand in my gig bag. This lightweight stand sets up instantly, the tripod shape holds well, and most importantly, the grip is firm. And I park it with the bass almost vertical.
