Probably the best made headband on Amazon
I started cycling during COVID and needed something to keep the sweat out of my eyes on long rides. I've bought other sweatbands off Amazon and they are decent, moisture wicking, but AT BEST most of them are basically 2 pieces of rayon sewn together and maybe 3" wide in the front. HALO doesn't, the ENTIRE cap is lightweight moisture wicking material but also a VERY nice (absorbent) sweatband that wraps around the entire interior of the cap! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE... there is also as sizeable silicone "sweat channel" up front that redirects sweat to either side (and away from your eyes). THESE GUYS DID THEIR HOMEWORK!!! It fits, it works, I have a big (shaved) head and there is NO slippage even under my cycling helmet OR my motorcycle helmet. I do hope they upgrade the "sweatband" material to something even MORE absorbent (and maybe a few new colors) as I do have to wring-it-out a couple of times during LONG rides but this is EASILY the best skull-cap/sweatband "thingy" on AMAZON.

Great Skull Cap But Does Run Very Small And Tight
I have a few Halo Skull Caps and am pleased with the quality - I'm especially glad I ordered this one white. A s a person who is incredibly heat intolerant and sweats outside during the dog days of summer like a monsoon this particular cap made sense on multiple levels. * SPF factor of 30 * Micro Mesh breathes and allows for evaporation and natural cooling * Sweat Diverter is patented by Halo and keeps perspiration out of your eyes I'm not quite sure if I prefer the older sweat band, I do know I prefer the Halo Protex Skull cap because it's larger and has ties which I like. These caps run very, very tight. But they're so light and airy you're used to the ultra snug fit in no time. As for the "sweat diverter" it might take some getting used to, but the rubber is extremely soft - however it still leaves a red mark on your forehead which takes a bit of time to disappear. Perfect for under a helmet, a bike ride, or hanging out on a hot day these really do perform as promised. They're made in the USA and the finishing and stitch quality are superb. They may cost more than others but those issues stated above make them worthwhile for me to pay a little more. The only complaint I have is once again the small size. I'm a head shaver and this model is snug as in second skin snug, I'm not sure how guys with hair would be able to wear these in complete comfort. That said due to their popularity it appears to be no problem whatsoever. Halo products are made from their Patented "DRYLINE" materials which in addition to antimicrobial and odor elimination properties is made of 63% Nylon 23% Polyester and 14% Lycra. Remember to only hand wash or machine wash on cool settings and never use the dryer, always air dry.

Don't worry about sizing complaints
This is a high quality cycling cap. It is a good compromise between (light) weight and sun protection, and it is comfortable under a helmet on long rides. Don't worry about the complaints that the cap is too small. I wear a 7 1/2 size baseball cap, and this cap fits comfortably. I can even put it over the tops of my ears on colder days. That said, I haven't washed it yet, and if washing it in cold water causes shrinkage, I will edit my review.

WOW! Relief for a hot head!
As someone who reads all of the reviews for a product before I purchase it, I want my reviews to be as authoritative as possible for future buyers. Therefore, I wait until I have used a product several times before posting a review of it. I have now used this product for over 500 miles of bike rides in the past 45 days of summer in Central Florida. To be succinct.....this product works splendidly! I am a person who sweats profusely, especially my head. I once worked up a sweat replacing a lightbulb in a walk-in freezer. When riding my bike, I used to take along two water bottles. I used one for drinking and one for rinsing the sweat from my eyes. Then I saw another rider at a rest break wearing one of these and quickly looked it up on Amazon as soon as I got to a computer. Reading all of the reviews, I purchased this style and also purchased the one that ties in the back. The reviews mentioned that this style made someone's head hurt and that it left a mark across their forehead. The first time I wore it, I had a little discomfort and it did leave an indentation mark in my forehead that lasted for about 30 minutes. About the same time as a "bedhead" wrinkle from a pillowcase lasts on me. I then did the "unthinkable" (at least for me) and read the directions. Placing the sweat deflector where it was supposed to go, relieved any discomfort I previously felt and the mark lasted only about 15 minutes. Plenty of time for it to disappear before I got to my favorite post ride watering hole. Most remarkable aspect of my experience with this product is that it performs magnificently! NO SWEAT in my eyes PERIOD! No dangling drop of sweat on the end of my nose. PLUS when I take a break and remove the cap for a few minutes and then put it back on, it is like sticking my head in a bucket of ice! Bicycle riding in Central Florida in August and September, this extra benefit is a welcome relief. I also use it to work in the yard and any other jobs or activities, such as golf, where I have been plagued by sweat running into my eyes and also ruining caps and hats. I now know what to get as gifts for my hot-headed friends. P.S. I also have a rather large head and the one size on this fits perfectly for me; after I read the directions on its correct placement. You do NOT need to pull it down flush with the top of your head. Indeed, it actually works better for air flow if you have some "slack" in the top of the cap instead of pulling it down to your ears.

Halo Skull Cap is good gear
I just purchased my second Halo Headband Skull Cap because it is a product that works. The fit is perfect, the sweat band is absorbent and stays in place, the cap is comfortable and I believe it protects my bald head from the sun. It fits under my bicycle helmet and I wear it all day when on our long rides. It keeps the sweat out of my eyes - which really is why I need them. I also wear them under a hat when working outside in the yard; again, great fit and keeps my eyes clear.

Solved my... burning problem during my scuba dive trips!
I'm an adult male and the hair up top has almost.. disappeared! I'm not big on hair and I'll never consider even for a moment hair replacement or wigs (God forbid !) I prefer the clean 'Captain Jean Luke Picard' look (for the Trekkies out there!) so for many years now I get very short crew cuts. Under the hot bright sun if my head is hat less, it soon burns and looks close to a ripe tomato! The pain and discomfort is part of the whole deal of course, as you must have imagined. Did I mention already that I don't like sun screens either?.. I can't stand this oily feel on my skin, esp. on my face let alone that recent research claims that these products do more damage than the sun alone, as far as skin cancer is concerned. I scuba dive. I've lost on the dive boat my share of baseball hats due to the wind, they fell into the sea and bye bye hat. So I tend to be hat less on the dive boat under the hot bright Caribbean sun. Add hours of snorkeling too in the equation and my head is burning literally by the second day of my dive vacation and looks like a piece of hot lava! Other divers commend that I must seek medical treatment for 3rd degree burns! All this until one day I saw another fellow diver on the boat wearing a similar skull hat and gave me the idea to try it. Why I haven't thought of that before beats me... After some research and reviews reading on Amazon I purchased a couple of skull hats, among them this one. No matter how silly it may sound, I must tell you that this is one of my best buys ever. Head burning problem during my dive trips these days is a thing of the past. The hat offers excellent protection from the UV rays, no more pain or discomfort. It is a very comfortable and tight enough fit above and under water. After my dive day I rinse it with fresh water, it dries overnight and is ready for service the next day. I've brought this very hat to two dive weekly trips, used it daily and looks like new.

Doesn't work any better than a reagular skull cap
I really wanted this to work. I was hopeful that the halo strip would minimize the sweat getting in my eyes. It doesn't work any better than all the other skull caps I have tried. Once saturated, the sweat drips right into your eyes like anything else. I have worn this now for 5-600 miles and tired several different positions (higher, lower, how it fits relative to helment, etc.), same result every time. It is a nicely made product overall so I gave 3 stars. However, if buying for the intended purpose of reducing sweat in eyes it does not work. You also get the added benefit of having a Halo imprinted on your forehead for several hours after the ride. This can be minimized by finding a looser position, but then the benefit of sweat control is even less.
