Gift for the cousin
I bought this for my cousin for Christmas, who is super into building complex things with legos. I couldn't find a lego version of this, and this one seemed to be exactly what he was after. He was SUPER excited when he opened it which made me feel good. Only downside that I could see was that the instructions are in a completely different language. He doesn't mind and found it to be more challenging, which he told me he wanted. I guess it works out, since he's happy, I'm happy. Just something to keep in mind if this is something you're wanting to buy for yourself, or as gift.

Not for children
This product is not for children. 10 year old loves legos but could not put this together and it’s even challenging for an adult so would not purchase for a child.

Updated Review
Hints: Glue blue "water" tiles to 6" x 24" board. Separate colored bricks/tiles by color (you'll thank me later). Ice bergs are CLEAR tiles, not white as indicated in instruction book. Light brown in booklet are actually YELLOW tiles. Suggest you have small needle nose pliers available; they will come in handy. Over 1,800 tiles so take your time and ensure you count PIPS (round tips on tiles and water) TWICE and place once. Good luck!

Pretty Cool Once Built!
My 5-year-old son loves the Titanic so we bought him this for Christmas. While he can’t full on play with it as he does with other toys, he thinks it’s awesome! It took several hours over several days for me to assemble and became a bit maddening at times as some of the pieces are tiny. And if you accidentally put a piece in the wrong place (I did several times!), it’s difficult to unwedge them from one another. I had to use a knife with a sharp tip to gently pry them apart. That said, there are so many layers to the ship that the pieces are in place pretty tightly, given the way you place the blocks over one another. Overall it is pretty cool! It’s a nice size when finished, too.

Need small fingers!
When they say Micro pieces they aren't kidding! The pieces are so small. I got this for my 8 year old who is obsessed with legos and the Titanic! He put it together in about 2 days. I didn't like how they had you put the smoke stacks on early because it was very hard to put some of the pieces around it because they kept falling down inside. But with small fingers and patience we got it together! The ship isn't quite finished in the picture, but you get the idea.

It's okay
The way the directions are illustrated it can be easy to miss parts, as it shows them layer by layer and it can be hard to tell if some of the pieces you are seeing are on the new layer you are working on, or if they are from a previous layer. Also, the way the stacks are attached looks cool, but they can come off easily, and if it happens after you are done it can be a lot of work to disassemble and reassemble that area to reattach the piece that came off.

Very small pieces
Would be a nice gift for adults or teenagers. I had to use a tweezer to put it together and if you have long nails like I do just forget using your fingers
