I imagine the question has already been answered for you, but for anyone else wanting to purchase, your best bet is to take a look at your current charger. It'll say what the output is in volts and amps. Multiply those 2 numbers to get the wattage. That's what you'll need in a charger. I would question the compatibility of this charger. It claims to be used for the Y50-70, however that laptop includes a 135W charger in the box. For the X1 Carbon in particular, the spec is much more low powered so could work with a 45W charger, but be sure it doesn't include a 65W charger.
