I ordered the Silicon Power 2TB SSD to use for cloning the two iMac's and 2 MBP's in our home (using Carbon Cop[y Cloner). The process went so smoothly that I just ordered a second SP 2TB unit to upgrade our Time Machine back-ups to from an old Seagate HDD unit which is starting to die. Terrific product by Silicon Power and great service by Amazon...even shipping overseas!!The fact that Silicon Power backs up their product with a 3-year warranty ithe icing on the cake!

Much more of a power hog than an SSD should be. Would not work consistently on my Surface 3 Pro's USB port. A similar Samsung 512 MB SSD drive worked fine, even though it also used a USB 3.0 connection. Was able to use it connected to the docking station ports or with a powered USB 3.0 hub after I returned from the trip. Nice that it has 2TB storage, but disappointed I couldn't use it consistently on the trip.

Fast drive - no issues on windows but Linux only recognizes the Asmedia controller - not the drive regardless of file system...

Good Portabale ssd

This is an excellent product. They are are the best quality and dollar-value SSD available in Canada...And the price is 1/3 below that of the Samsung competing models. We have over 5 of these Silicon Graphics 1T and 2T SSDs and over 5 of the Sumsung external SSDs and the Silicon Graphic SSD storage is cheaper and generally more 'rugged'.

Used this to setup NAS, the data was backed up fine. Unfortunately soon as I freed up the drive I backed up the data from - this drive stated failing. It doesn't stay connected for more than 5 minutes and as a result I am unable to retrieve data that was backed up to this drive.Bought this in Oct'23, still trying to retrieve my data in Mar'24.

Using it for my ps5 console.You can install and directly play ps4 games in ps5.But you can only copy or move ps5 games in ssd but can't play games directly on it.You need internal ssd to play game directly.

SSD case is very good, but the drive itself. SSD is not fast at all really slow. When I sent in to the company about how low it is, they did not respond at all.
