Is this lamp black and white or blue and white?

Ironically, I ordered it because it was supposedly black and white, but I was surprised that it is actually navy and white......Fortunately I like the lamp and was able to use it another room, so I decided to keep it, but have to say I was disappointed!

I am having difficulty getting the socket to attach to the base of the lamp without the silver but showing. Any advice?

I didn't have this problem but would suggest you hold the base and turn the socket, not the other way around. Good Luck! I love my lamp!
