Capstone Lighting Technologies LED Wall Plate - 3 pack

After searching long and hard for safety outlets these are what we have settled on. I needed something that my child could not pull out of the wall and could not access the bulb. This fits the bill. The bonus is that these will work great in a power outage. It also has a working daylight sensor that shuts off the light when daylight is detected. It doesn't need a lot of light to trigger this either. I used white gorilla tape to cover the bottom outlet my kids room and then placed the outlet over it. The only thing that I would have liked to have seen is a setting between low and high. The difference in light is quite a bit between these settings and I think there is a sweet spot in there that isn't being utilized.

These are perfect for lighting unlit hallways in your home. If I need to get up in the night, I really enjoy being able to find my way around the house. They are attractive, fit snug to the wall, safe for small children, cannot be knocked off the wall like an ordinary plug-in night light, because the are screwed in. > That part is as easy as screwing on an outlet cover..Simple.Once put on, you still have an open outlet available to use.They have two light-settings and in addition, IF you want to turn them off; they have an OFF switch! Till this is resolved a 1 star rating will remain.Great product while it lasts. 1 of 3 stopped working within 2 weeks of use. We use them every night for my son to have a night light if he needs to walk to our room and they work well. I love the different settings from bright to dim. I am trying to contact the seller to see about a replacement of the one unit to change my star rating.

The product is extremely easy to install; disconnect power to the outlet, remove the plaque covering the two wall outlet, snap in the Capstone LED wall plate, and screw it in. I absoutely love these. I bought a pack at Sam's club. Husband installed them in about 15 mnutes, Too bad he put them where he wanted, not necessarily the best places. So Sam's had sold out and I came to Amazon. Got another pack, I installed them (easy to install). They are great at night and were wonderful the one time our power went out. Can't say how long they would last because our power was only out for about an hour. And I love how you still have a usable outlet. This would be a great house warming gift.

I am extremely happy with this product that was purchased through Amazon Online. It is a most handy item to have around the house during a power failure and it didn't cost a large sum of money. I also find myself depending on the night light feature more and more every evening. I like the feeling of increased safety with LED lighting providing enough light to see obstacles that may be a trip hazard; without the requirement of turning on the larger lights at night. Safety with less power is a good investment I would certainly recommend this to others

UPDATE: .We bought a total of 12 of these; two burned-out within just a couple of months. The maker (Capstone Industries) which claims to back the warranty, will not honor the warranty. Basically, they have no faith in their product and, as such, they refuse to back their product. AVOID EVERYTHING FROM CAPSTONE INDUSTRIES (Capstone Lighting Technologies) or get screwed like I did......

I've had these for a couple of years now. What I'm seeing over time is that the switches get kind of sticky and brittle. And at least one of them has an LED in it that doesn't work most of the time. As far as quality goes I think I got my money's worth out of these though. The reason it gets the 3 stars instead of 4 stars is because you can't set it to both a power outage light and nightlight. It's either one or the other.
