I’ve about had it with Teckin products simplifying my life. From their smart mini plugs to smart lightbulbs, and now these smart wall sockets.Being able to voice control everyday devices and appliances that are plugged into the Teckin Smart Wall Socket is making me far too lazy with the ability to say, “Alexa, turn on space heater” or “Okay Google, turn off living room lamp”.Gone are the days when I have to get off the couch to turn on the fan that is seriously 8 feet above my head. Ridiculous! What’s next? Will Teckin build mind-reading smart devices that will literally know exactly what I want?What’s worse is if I don’t even want to mutter a word I can pick up my phone, open up the free Smart Life app, and with a few clicks manage all the devices plugged into the Teckin Smart Wall Socket.And don’t get me started on the ability to set schedules to do things like turn on my coffee pot before I even get out of bed or automatically turn off the house lights at night so we don’t waste money on the electric bill.So frustrating! 😜

I am very happy with this product. I really hope it withstands the test of time. For now, I have used it for a couple of weeks and are truly happy.You can physically turn on and off both of the outlets separately from the outlet itself... But there's more... YOU CAN TURN THE USB PORT ON AND OFF AS WELL.I use it for a pair of speakers that have a physical on/off button. I don't want to have to flick it every time I listen to music. This is perfect for my purpose. I successfully paired it with Google Home and the Google Assistant. However, you have to pair the device through a third party app. Only then, you can add the device to Google Home. Not hard, just a bit cumbersome.It feels solid-built in the hand and comes with the wire nuts for easy installation. The LED light indicators tell you whether the outlets are on or off...Highly recommended!

Two reasons (one is very petty but the star would have been deducted based on the other complaint regardless):1. The outlet itself shows up as a device when added in Alexa, so there are 4 devices total:A. Plug 1B. Plug 2C. USBD. Outlet (this last one i usually disable to at least get it out of the way)2. This is the bigger concern and this alone would have docked the 1 star. As far as I can tell this is not UL certified. God forbid anything ever happened I'd hate to have the root cause of the problem be my smart in wall outlet.With all of that disaster talk being said I did buy a second one down the road :).

I have been using this for about a week now and it's been great. The overall experience was great. The installation was easy to follow and everything you need is included.The best part about this besides being Alexa Combatible is that each plug and the USB can be turned on and off. Many of these sockets are a all or nothing and having control on each is a huge plus.There was only 1 issue I had and that's the nuts included are the brown small ones which may be fine for some users, but most houses tend to have thicker wire gauges and you may need to get yellow nuts. Like in one of my pictures I could only fit one wire in so I had to replace them with yellow nuts, but they are very cheap to get at any hardware store or online. I have contacted their support and they said a suggestion would be brought up as yellow tends to be the most common type used.Other than that one minor issue, the product and device usage is great and has helped me save money when I forget to turn of devices plugged into the socket.

The Smart Wifi In-Wall Socket from TECKIN, has 2 Outlets and 1 USB Port.Gives me 2 remotely-controllable wall plugs _plus_ a remotely-controllable USB port, all in one.Very easy to setup, the instruction manual is well written. There are 2 setup modes: Default (more auto-detect) and AP Mode.With this and other TECKIN products I have used, I always go for the AP mode, as it works well with my router.The 2 plugs are remotely controllable via the SmartLife App, and they have push-buttons on the front for manual control along with indicator LEDs to let you know if the plugs are on or off.The USB port does not have an off/off manual push button, by the way, nor does it have an indicator LED, so you need to check the status of the USB port on the App. My only suggestion to improve the product would be to add an LED to indicate the status of the USB port.The SmartLife App that controls it is super easy to use, and gives the option for Scheduled On/Off for all 3 outlets, and a Timer-off mode as well, see the details in the pictures. The Schedule feature is perhaps the most useful, as it can be used to control fans, lamps, etc to come on/off at certain times of the day, which is very handy! Or you can use the Timer-off feature to automatically turn off a fan 1 hour after you go to bed, for instance.
