Is this a natural vitamin c source or a synthetic?

I've grown so weary of people saying ascorbic acid is synthetic or not real vitamin C.  This is like saying H2O is not real water.  Vitamin C is the ascorbic acid molecule.  According to nutritionist and researchers, every cell in the body needs vitamin C.  And if a scientist / researcher looks at the vitamin C within a cell, it will see the molecule known as ascorbic acid.  As for the whole "natural" debate, it's like saying "get your water from the inside of an orange because we know that oranges contain H2O."  Do your own research from non-biased sources and you will find out that ascorbic acid doesn't need to be combined with any other substance in order to be utilized by the body (though nutritionist and doctors recommend taking vitamin C with food for obvious reasons).

after 45 years in the vitamin industry, i can say that it is very hard to find ascorbic acid that is not fermented from corn starch and not made in china.fyi: the ingredients are tested at least 3 times for metals, micro-organisums, solvents etc. we have these ready for prompt shipment.grounds for tea

How long does "sustained release" last?

First of, this is not sustained release like it says on the bottle. It's either, a misprint or manufacturer is intentionally misleading. This is plain old vitamin C, in the form of Ascorbic Acid.Those who are wondering how much comes out of urine... I just got done watching Paulus Lining, 95, who made taking mega doses of Vitamin C popular, said that he took 10 grams of Vitamin C per day and only 1.5grams came out through urine, which he personally measured. He said, that even the 1.5 grams is not wasted, because, the vitamin C in the urine does the job of protecting the urinary tract. And therefore, nothing is wasted. His words :)

I am confused, the most helpful review from PTo says we should get C Complex, but this is just a basic C. Then why He or she recommends this?
