I only use this material outdoors. When I see a rat eating wildbird seed, I sprinkle this , deep in the undergrowth where the birds can't get through and that is the last I see of rats for about 6 months. It is a phenomenally effective pest control. I have tried traps and other methods, but all have failed until I found this solution to the problem on Amazon. AND it is very good value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Will this continue to work if it gets rained on and will birds and hedgehogs also be poisoned by it?

Hi, not sure if it will still work if it gets rained on. It's not pet friendly so i wouldn't put it outside where birds and other wildlife could come into contact with it. We put ours down in the cellar, the rats eat it, then take it back to their nests, although we have had 2 die in the cellar and the smell is horrendous. That said, it's the best we've used.

Will the rats die indoors under the floor boards?

I bought this for my allotment. It has worked extremely well in controlling rat numbers. I don't see many dead rats so I assume they will die under the floor boards.

Why does it say on the packet of bait not to open the sachets?
