Let's Make Ramen!: A Comic Book Cookbook Kindle Edition

I could not recommend this more highly! The illustrations are out of this world! I’ve only had time to make 2 recipes from this book but they were both 10/10. The step by step hand-drawn pictures make each part of the process incredibly easy. This is going to be my go to gift for others for the next year.

Graphic novels as cookbooks was just too good to pass by as a Christmas gift for my young adult son who struggles with too much written information on a page. He absolutely loves this book! He had already been making his own Ramen Bowls using fresh ingredients, but this put him over the top with info he hadn't seen anywhere else.He now makes his own broth using mushrooms, onions, garlic, and fresh greens that I grow in containers on my patio. We roast a pork belly every few weeks for throwing in the air fryer to crisp up slices that go on top of the bowl of ingredients. Latest endeavor is learning to soft boil eggs.

This book, while nicely done is NOT the book for you if you are vegetarian, vegan or on the Forks Over Knives diet. The words "vegetarian", "vegan", "tofu", etc do not even appear in the index in the back of the book. Read carefully, this book promotes less-than-100% whole wheat flour and promotes use of oils (see the Forks Over Knives diet). There are lots of entries for meat and chicken eaters, and if you're willing to consume some processed flour, I'm sure you can bang out the Ramen.It is true that if you are vegetarian, vegan or on a diet like Forks Over Knives, you are used to reviewing recipes with an eye to substitutions and can get a decent Ramen. People who are not on these diets are used to cook books that are written as if these diets don't exist. Sadly, many of us are on these diets for real, serious health issues.If you don't have these, it's a great book. If you do have these health issues, this is not the book for you.

Seriously beautiful artwork. I love to cook and I LOVE ramen, but even if I don't make any of these recipes, the illustrations alone are worth the price of the book. Charming, delightful, and provides a high level history of ramen and its culture.A great gift or addition to any cookbook lover's library. Banzai!

I don't often write reviews, but I have to say this is one of the most comprehensive and fun cookbooks I've ever looked at. My 16-year-old daughter loves ramen and she was thrilled with the information, the recipes, and the comic book style of this cookbook. This was a birthday present hit.I don't mean to sound harsh, but the reviewer who rated this book as one star because it's not vegan or vegetarian is an idiot. Um, hello? Are you even familiar with ramen culture? Please pay absolutely no attention to what they said, because they are a clearly an uninformed individual and really had no business posting a review for this cookbook here.You will not be disappointed if you buy this cookbook.

Though i understood this was not your traditional cook book, I was a bit disappointed on the unorganized layout and confusing ramen building techniques. I have some experience with ramen so I attempted to figure it out but again, because of the layout, I feel the end result wasnt as good as it could have been.

The illustrations are beautiful and well worth the purchase alone. On top of that, it is a well written educational cookbook that has me excited for all of the many nights of ramen in my future.

I was so upset when I couldn’t get hold of this as it went out of stock a couple of weeks ago. So, as soon as it was back in stock, I didn’t hesitate to buy it!My eldest teenage son discovered Raman this year and has been constantly making it ever since!As he’s looking at getting ready to move out, I wanted to get him a cookbook as such, but not your standard one that he would never pick up and use.He's a former anime and graphic novel fan, so I just knew that this would be a perfect present for him.The book is of such high-quality and each page is just gorgeously illustrated and captioned.Best of all, the presentation more than encourages you to have a go yourself.I can’t rate this highly enough – if only all cookbooks could be as fun and as accessible as this!

I bought this for my son for Christmas, he said he loves it and has been using it and showing it to friends.

I enjoy the colour and step by step guide to make ramen. It a fun way to learning and fun.

Bought as present for my husband as he loves ramen and always talked about making it himself.He loved the style of the book and actually read the whole thing. We now have a good stock of products and broths in out pantry/freezer.

This is a really cool book. I haven't made anything from it yet (for my husband's birthday) but just visually flicking through, I love it!
