This is an amazing product. I have used it for years. I used it on my retired thoroughbred and my Great Danes in the past and watched them become pain free and mobile. I just recently started to purchase it again for some geriateric horses - it takes a bit of loading time so stay with it - animals don't lie.

I have been using Cetyl-M on my horse for about 2 years. It's AWESOME. He was 3-legged lame even just playing in the field, and had been retired for about 6 years. We tried injection, as well as basically every oral supplement I could get my hands on. Nothing worked. I figured he would just be a pasture ornament until he was too lame to walk. Then I tried Cetyl-M, and WOW. Within a month he was trotting out sound in the field, and was able to be ridden. This year we started to competitive trail rides, and he hasn't taken a lame step. I'm so impressed, and couldn't be happier!

When I first saw this supplement years ago, and saw the cost (more $ then), I felt there had to be a reason for it. So, I researched Cetyl Myristoleate. I was intrigued, and decided that when my guy needed it, this is what I would use. I am so pleased this is available!! It is super-easy to feed...as either powder or granules, and my 27-year old pal is moving and "horsing-around" like his much-younger self again!! There is an initial "double" amount loading dose over about a month, then routine feeding. His farrier even noticed how much easier he was moving, before knowing I had started him on anything for arthritis. This has got to be the easiest way to ease joint pain, swelling, crepitus, and overall improve movement.

Seemed to work well for my horse. However, product keeps getting more expensive. Am trying Actiflex now for a couple of months, which seems to have similar or better ingredients. Great reviews from multiple sites, and cheaper!

Seriously, LIFE SAVING! My mare is 32 years old and up until her 30th birthday, you'd think she was just a 3 year old. Then arthritis set in. She was so gimpy and getting thin that my caretaker and I thought, "If she makes it through one more year"...I have had her since she was 6 years old and it was quite heart breaking. We were going through liquid joint products... anti-inflammatory gels (wow is that expensive)and finally I found Cetyl M. It took a little over a month to really see results, but she is now trotting and even in full gallop from the back pasture (es, they have a product for us humans! YippiE). I am seeing great results.. more mobility and less aches and joint pain! If there were 10 stars to rate this item... I would give it a full 10!

My horse has been on Cetyl M for 19 years. He was diagnosed with acute arthritis in his hocks at the age of 5. He has been doing great all these years and is going strong for easy trail riding. I opened a brand new container of this today & am so disappointed to see huge globs of what I assume is the actual supplement. It is not evenly coated on the pellets. I had to dump small quantities into the empty tub & break it apart & mix it by hand. Not sure what would happen if he was fed these big lumps of it. I will be shopping for another joint supplement.
