Wix 49031 Air Filter Panel

Wix 49031 is a perfect fit for a 2014 Honda Civic sedan with 1.8L & CVT. Engine air filter swap takes about 1 minute with no tools required. Just release 3 snap latches, lift the exposed end of the top cover enough to slide the old filter out, then slide the new one in and close it up. I wrote the date & mileage on the exposed end of the paper element with a sharpie so it's visible when you lift it up. Wix filters seem to have better quality for the price than other brands I've tried.

Car dealerships love money, and one of the easiest ways to make money is to try to sell "air filter replacement" to their customers. Instead of paying $120+ to replace an air filter, buy this item and replace it yourself: open the hood, locate the air filter enclosure on the driver's side. Open two or three metal clips, remove the old filter and install the new one. The entire operation takes less than 3 minutes.

I ordered this with the understanding it was Wix filter #49031 as advertised on the listing. It came as the Napa filter #29031. You can look on the Napa website and it’ll show the original manufacturer part number as #49031. A simple cross reference will show the same. So essentially it’s the same filter branded for Napa. Not a big deal but slightly confusing at the time. It’s still a good price for the Napa branded, Wix manufactured filter compared to going to the Napa store to get the same filter.

It fit in my 2012 Civix LX and it is working fine. It a lot cheaper than the OEM.
