One Day at a Time: The Devotional for Overcomers

I bought this book to do a Bible study with a friend going through addiction, recovery, and, while the message is really good and helpful the font and layout actually make the book a little tedious so my friend wanted something different. Great material in there though, if you can get over the hump of the layout.

We all struggle with some sort of addiction. This book helps explain the root cause comes from not finding our identity in Christ.

The chapters are short, like a devotional, but powerful in content. That's good for me, but better for those who are struggling with their identity in Christ. Most strugglers need time to chew on small doses of one truth before they move to the next truth. "One Day at a Time" is becoming one of my most recommended books. The truth really is setting them free.

Awesome, easy to read and spiritally uplifting book. Book arrived in better condition than seller described and sooner than expected as well. If you have never read any of his books, this is a great book to start with.

I have read it several times, and love the disclosure Mike is so free to tell. I know him personally, and he is genuine!

Five stars isn't enough - this deserves ten. Every day is thought provoking and insightful. IMO its the perfect devotional and the only one a person needs. I've recommended it to friends and will continue to do so. I wish this came leather bound because I will be reading and rereading it for maybe the next twenty or thirty years.

This devotional is great for those who struggle with any type of addiction. I love that it treats addiction as a sinful choice and not a disease and points the reader to the scripture which are all sufficient to bring victory over temptation.

This is an outstanding devotional... far more meaty than most devotionals...It went all around our old church, and the lady who used to be pastor said it was the best book she had ever read! It's certainly one of the best books I've ever read, and since then I've bought it for a few peeps I thought would benefit from it.
