Great replacement
This is my second replacement. First one was purchased in 2018, got 8 years of use out of it! Glad it was still available and much more affordable than a new fixture and plumber bill! Easy to install.

no plumber needed !
Replacement for 10 year old pull-out. Fits perfectly, easy to install and works. Expensive, but very easy to switch out the old one. No leaks, no drips, stream converts to spray with just a touch. Could not be happier.

The second time is the charm!
I would give the Grohe 46173IE0 Pull-Out Spray 5 stars but the first unit dripped from the spray holes when it should have been just a stream. It was easy to return for a replacement. The replacement spray head is working great.

Wonderful for cooks.
First the good. I love the sensors on it. I find the more I use it, the more I tend to use the one on top and just wave my hand over it. When my hands are dirty, I can just stick my hands in front of it to start the water flow. The eye on the stem that is triggered by your hand does not always catch if your hands or the dish is not in just the right position tho, which is why I'm using the one on top more. The eye on the stem sometimes catches movement, like if you are wiping down the counter and just goes on. I have learned to just swing the whole thing to the other sink so I don't accidentally trigger it. Overall tho, the convenience of having it start without having to touch the handle far outweighs the the few mistakes it makes. Now I find myself waving at other faucets. Sadly, they just ignore me.

Works great, comes with two inserts/restrictors
Just received, and installed, this replacement spray head today. Two inserts came with it and, based on other reviews, I used the white one and placed the end with the O-ring toward the water hose. We have well water and good pressure but since sediment can sometimes get thru I chose to use the insert/filter with the least resistance. If one is on city water, or has poor water pressure, I think not using either insert would be fine. If you choose to use an insert and want to remove it at a later date you'll probably have to remove the nozzle end of the spray head to get it out. The nozzle-end can be easily removed by using a wrench on the hex-head that's in the center of the smaller nozzles. The plastic is soft so be careful not to gouge it. Mine works great and I found the quality to be no different than my 15 year old spray head. The only difference was the restrictors were already in place in the old model.

Over priced!
Very over priced but fits my existing fixture.

Expensive, simple to replace explained here - great customer service
My old head jammed. I unscrewed it and with some effort removed the spray head. 2 small pieces fell out and I was not sure where they fit. I ordered a new one and it came with 2 little plugs but no explaination. From reading others and examining my original piece I see that the 2 separate plugs I got had been permanently mounted in my old head. The 2 Pieces that had fallen out were mounted behind the spray head. My assumption is that the original had flow restriction per govmt regs. The new one seems to give you the option of using the flow reduction albeit without instruction. I simply installed the piece. Edited to add Dec 2020 - another problem - somehow lost a screw that holds the handle to the faucet body. Long story . . . Grohe Customer Service sent instructions to reattach but I got the wrong size screw from hardware store. After more fumbling around trying to get the correct screw on my own I called them back and they sent me a new replacement handle. Though I'd rather not have screws etc coming loose I found their customer service people all to be helpful friendly and patient with my bumbling, even during a pandemic disaster. Thank you Grohe. I have photos I was prepared to include photos, but cannot find a way to do that here.

Shoddy Quality - Buy a different Faucet
I was so pleased to get this unit and not need to replace the entire faucet. It was super fast to install. Yeah! Then after a few weeks the spray got erratic - not a spray and a solid. Now the trigger button doesn't work at all. I am the only person who uses this faucet - the first head lasted 15 years, this one lasted a few months before failures began. I thought it was my water pressure, etc. But I finally figured out it is the unit that is faulty. I called Grohe about the Warranty - they don't give a warranty on the parts, but they'll give you a discounted price to purchase a replacement - that price is higher than buying from Amazon. They confirmed what they sell is the same manufactured item Amazon is selling. No more Grohe for me. Bottom line: If you're selling your house, buy this and put it on just to be done and gone, otherwise buy a new faucet.

This was a replacement. My tap had become blocked..new water softener installed and all the build up of limescale in the pipes blocked the end of the tap so only a trickle of water came out. I couldn’t take it apart to clean it out.
