how do you wear the bracelets

Hi, my daughter ties the ends together like most of the bracelets made from that type of material. She loves the loom, I actually had fun with it too!

Would this make a good gift to a 7 year old?

No, recommend this for ages 10 and up. It's really a pre-teen/teenage thing. I think a 7 year-old would get very frustrated with it. Best to stick with the rainbow loom and rubber bands for now. I had to review the directions a few times myself before getting the hang of it. Hope this helps.

Do the bracelets all have to be made in one length? Is there a way to stop the bracelet once it reaches the perfect length?

You can definitely make the bracelets in different lengths. Check out the videos others have posted on YouTube.

About how much (length) of embroidery thread is needed per bracelet? I realize there are a lot of variables, let's say medium width, regular design?

A thin one will take about 6 yards of thread (3 yards of 3 colors) and a thicker one could take 30 yards (8-10 yards of each color).
